My feelings for KYY from here on will completely depend on how they write Nandini after this heartbreak. Till now, she has been shown as this child of light, who is responsible, wise and rational, someone who will choose to suffer in order to protect her loved ones but is capable of giving it right back when she snaps. But she also carries this immense pressure of being the 'good girl' all the time and is afraid to let go and show her emotions openly. And this was evident even in the whole romance track where it was Manik who really drew her out of her shell.
I just hope the writers can give this character and her turning point some thought and handle it with sensitivity. She has been bullied, she's fallen in love and then been badly betrayed, and she does not even have the strength to face the world right now even to sing for herself. It is the nadir for her too. I'd HATE for her to go back and soften towards Manik just because he does something good for her brother or saves her from falling again. She has been the only one in NH3 who has been constantly disapproving of Harshad and his tactics; so maybe it is time she stops being so passive and accepting and stays (or quits) on her own terms, not because she feels sorry for her friend. And, most importantly, Dhruv. His growth is just as important as Manik-Nandini's imo. That's one character I genuinely don't get. on one hand, he stopped being friends with nandini in order to salvage the one with Manik. One the other hand, he punched Manik for supposedly sending those goons after Nandini (his best moment, imo). It gives me hope that once his 'rose-tinted' glasses come off, he will be able to be some sort of support for Nandini and make Manik understand the gravity of his mistake. Since Manik has not only hurt Nandini, but totally disrespected Dhruv too by not deeming him capable of handling the truth. I for one have always liked the easy friendship between Dhruv and Nandini, and I hope they can remain friends even after she turns him down. I need to see some grown-up conversation in this show again, dammit.
