Amazing post, Shelly! 👏And I agree with @diva that there is so much more to the show and in particularly, there is so much more to the characters of Dhruv and Manik than just which one of them will be the endgame with Nandu. I just knew Nandini-Manik will be the endgame since the first epi and still enjoy the scenes between DhruNi because frankly when I started I couldn't care less. I started watching in the first place due to the awesome dynamics between MaRuv and this special bond we hardly get to see in today's world. Dhruv, as a character is so much more and his development has not even started yet. With every new revelation, he becomes more interesting and his mystery is the biggest and most protected secret on the show which surrounds and connects everyone and everything. We haven't even started yet and this whole story of Manik and Dhruv is what attracted me to watch the show in the first place, everything else I started to like along the way.
All these mysteries and questions and intrigue over these two and what they are, who they are,how they came to be what they have become, how they came in each others lives, how they became whatever they are to each other, was Manik there when the accident happened? Or was he there after it? Did Manik ask for his wish the same day the accident happened? Did Manik asked for a wish from the same shooting star that did whatever it did to Dhruv? Why Manik was making wishes upon stars? Was he lonely? Were Manik and Harshad friends and Dhruv came in between them? Were Harshad and Dhruv friends and Manik came in between and did Manik help Dhruv through the same kind of attack the same day they met or were they friends before the attacks started? Why are Manik and Dhruv so close? What did Manik do to gain so much trust and faith from Dhruv? Why so much love and understanding between them? Why are they only able to be themselves with each other? Why is Dhruv only comfortable opening up and joking around with Manik? Is it because he already trusts him enough to let him see the most vulnerable side of him regularly? Why can Manik only be openly and frankly overbearingly caring and loving towards Dhruv and reverts back to being all cool and calm when it comes to others? Why does he get so hyperactive when it comes to anything Dhruv related? Was Harshad unable to help Dhruv that day but Manik was there and helped Dhruv to deal with it? Did Manik see something? Why wasn't Manik affected like Dhruv if he was there with him? What did Manik do to help Dhruv? Why can't anyone else help Dhruv to calm down? How many attacks does Dhruv get every year and just how many times did Dhruv and Manik sat there overcoming Dhruv's attacks together? Is Manik just being optimistic about the day when he says that 'the day' makes him happy? Is it because that day was the first time he met Dhruv or because that was the day he asked for a wish? So for him it is a lucky day? Why is Manik so protective and frankly Mother-like when it comes to Dhruv? Is it because of the attacks and how only he can bring Dhruv back to his senses? Is it because he feels that whatever happened to Dhruv was because of him, because he was there and couldn't do anything? or because he feels guilty for wishing for someone like Dhruv and the star literally doing something to Dhruv and bringing him to Manik and making him unable to be helped by anyone else but Manik?
😆 Sorry, loads of questions there. But seriously, these things are what made me watch the show in the first place, what made me wait for it everyday so I could get another piece of the puzzle, I came to love everything else along the way.
I would hate for their characters to be reduced to just boys fighting for love --- There is so much here to be still known about them and understand them as individuals and their relationship and its origin, its basis. After all, Manik Baba wished upon a star and got a 'Dhruv' -- the 'fixed star' -- Manik's own personal compass to show him the way. To fill him with hope, and a new purpose, giving him a new objective, something precious to care, protect from the world and shower all his love onto -- Something Manik's parents too had but did not care about, could not understand the importance of and lost.So Manik does not intend to lose his own personal star -- Dhruv is a special snowflake, Manik knows it, I know it, you know it -- so seriously, chill!
