I'll be honest, I am kinda loving these light-hearted episodes. They aren't full-on dramatic but they aren't fillerish either. These people deserve some lightness in their life, some laughter, some miscommunication leading to misunderstanding. We are seeing the characters in their normal atmosphere and getting to know more about them. It's not like we are stuck at one place with randomness going on. Things are happening, they are just happening non-dramatically. It could all be a set up for some big showdown. But whatever, I am loving this fresh pace of the show. The writing is as crisp as ever. New ideas are being hinted on, on which the future conflict is going to be build up.

Also, I missed you guys <3

I was kind of turned off by Navya's antics in regards to Manik-Dhruv. She witnessing the Manik-Dhruv scene and getting the wrong idea, it was the classic example of making a mountain out of molehill and using that misunderstanding for a joke that would be stretched till forever. Thank God the writers wrapped it all up. The whole point of Navya's idea was in regards to Nandini's crush on Dhruv and they could've kept stretching it with Navya getting Kanta Behn moments over and over again if Manik so much as touched Dhruv. But I bloody loved the way it was all played out.

All this is a part of the elaborate scheme of introducing Cabir's sexuality, officially, in the show. I love how the writers are warming up the audience for that. They are not making a joke out of it. They are showing two mentalities. One via Navya. The typical mentality which suffocates homosexuals in today's time. The way Navya just put fingers in her ears when Nandini talked about gays, woah! Such a smart and realistic detailing of the subject. The other is done via Nandini. The modern, urban mentality who recognize homosexuals as humans who have as much as right to freedom as everyone else. I loved the way Nandini straight forwardly and calmly told Navya that the "ais type ke log" have a specific term and they aren't doing anything wrong. That little addition of using Navya's "pyaar mein sab kuch chalta hai" ideology against her. If Navya can be accepting of love which happened in two days, what's wrong with accepting the love between two men?

This scene, that's what makes KY2 stand out. Smart writing which shows both sides of the coin. The writers didn't just jump the gun and went shoved down Cabir's sexuality down our throats. Just the mere indication of it in the promo and we saw the repercussions. People got turned off, many said they aren't comfortable watching any such thing in a show etc etc. The writers are taking their time out, showing each character's reaction to this idea, building a conflict out of it. It's such a smart move from their side. They are obviously not planning to make it all joke and turn Cabir straight in the future as it sexuality is an on&off switch. They are targeting the suffocation which homosexuals feel, the feeling of being the odd one out, the dread of not being accepted by their own friends. They are showing it and the factors, the mentality. But they are also showing that it's not all dark. There are people who are open and accepting. Time itna bhi bura nahin hai...

Now, let's talk about the person for whom the title of this topic stands - NANDINI. I swear, I was literally chanting, "JAAGO NAARI! JAAGO!!" in that scene. I loved it how Nandini recollected all those moments in Manik's room that they shared. For the first time, she thought like a woman. She saw herself through Manik's eyes, her wet self, her half naked self; and then she noticed the change in behavior in Manik. She noticed the way he was caught up in her, the way he looked at her, the way he wanted to get close to her. Before she was brushing it all off as his attempts to establish power over her, something she could push aside. But there, standing there and thinking about Manik's sexuality, she noticed that it wasn't just that. It was a man who naturally felt attracted to a woman. The most primal and basic need of a human, to want to be close to someone whom they like or are attracted to. There she saw the desire in his eyes. And there, she felt it too. When she realized in what light Manik viewed her in those moments, the way she looked at him changed as well. Manik was so blissfully unaware of her presence and something within her, shifted. The way she looked at him, with that small smile on her lips. There, she was a woman who realized that she was wanted as a woman by a man. She liked that. She wanted that.

God! I just love this sense of realization in Nandini. The scene which followed, the girl was actively nervous in his presence. I love it how this proximity of theirs has become such routine for them. Manik is used to it, he doesn't fight it. He's beginning to enjoy it. The smirks, the control. But it's just the beginning for Nandini. She'd be confused, disoriented, she'd want it..she'd want it like he wanted it. She'd get lost in it and she'd snap out of it. She's going through what he has already gone through. Uff! I love it! I love the way they are so human and real and so like today's youth. Ye pyaar vyaar and shaadi ke baad type of typical HSSH type ki mentality, I love it how they are defying it. I love how their attraction and lust is not being ignored. Two healthy teenagers who obviously have sexual tension around them...aaahhh! God, the way I love these two.

The best bit? Dhruv saw that. Dhruv saw Nandini smiling in their direction. I might sound like a sadist but what the heck. Dhruv thought that she smiling was for him. But Nandini's focus was on Manik's retreating back. She didn't even acknowledge Dhruv there. And I love it. She was a girl crushing on Dhruv. Now she's a woman acknowledging the thrill of Manik's proximity.

Harshad...stop making me dislike you. He's losing his ground, his justifications behind his actions. He's getting too blind, too wrong in his obsession. I thought he'd stop and worry about Mukti's condition. I thought he cared. HE WAS SHOWN TO CARE! Why is he getting so wrapped up in his darkness that even the littlest flicker of light is diminishing? Where's the Harshad who at least cared? Just a bit but he cared. Now he sees Fab5 and he sees targets. Shoot, shoot, shoot. Targets to blast, targets to annihilate. If things go on like this...no. I don't want to hate this guy but he's making it hard for me to love him.

Alya and Dhruv are adorable! I love her adorable fixation with Dhruv's love life. She's Dhruv's friend, she just wants to help. The way she teases him and the way Dhruv runs away from there..it's so adorable! I love Krissan's smile! In these scenes she makes Alya look like a literal Barbie doll. I knew that Shahid was gonna get the wrong idea xD Bring in more conflict! But Alya realized that Dhruv's falling for Nandini. Hmmm..we all saw that coming. She might push Dhruv to Nandini to drive her away from Manik. Plausible and justified in her account.

Can't be just me who thought Nandini also wanted to kiss Manik in the precap? Can I start hoping that 'intimacy' can be made canon? Pretty please?

Uff, Mais! I missed both you and your reviews. Just, let me give you a big hug first 🤗

And now, back to this XD How can I agree more? You just said it all. Every single emotion I felt, that I am feeling, you just said it and way too perfectly at that. I can't... I can't add anything more to this.

Reading this review made me do three things and wish for one (now don't laugh😛)
I did three things:

1) Giggled like a retard in the middle of the night (might have woken up my mom)
2) Spilled my coffee
3) Had very dirty thoughts which made me blush like a tamatar!

Coming to the thing I wished for (whatever you can laugh!🤪)

Now she's a woman acknowledging the thrill of Manik's proximity

^^ Remove Nandini and Manik from the equation and add my name and the potential guy that I haven't yet met. There I said it☺️

Mais , welcome back!
I loved the episode today. While yes it is annoying to see Navya with her closed mind, she is also reflective of a majority of people. Just look at the response we had on here for example with regards to it. Like you mentioned Navya represents one set of people, who have not really come in contact or interacted with homosexual folks and therefore think there must be some flaw in these people. I can't even blame them, because your environment and exposure and experience makes a big difference to how your outlook can change, whereas in the other hand you have Nandini who is very matter of fact about, for Nandu, it really doesn't make any difference, she just knows that love triumphs all and honestly she was the best character to present the other POV, just because she is the most normal person on the show.

Nandu has begun to realise that she is attracted to Manik and I am glad the show doesn't shy away fromt the fact that when people are attracted to each to other, physical attraction follows. It is natural, and it is true to life and I am glad they are not hiding the truths of the world from the viewers.
It is interesting that she was quick to clarify about Manik not being gay, she has felt the attraction between them whereas with Dhruv she feels platonically, it was clearly defined and distinguished today. She sees Manik in a romantic manner while Dhruv in a friendly manner and nothing could be clearer than the scene where Dhruv and Manik walks away and she's looking at Manik in a daze while Dhruv is looking at her. She is so focused on Manik that she doesnt even see him.

The makers were clear about that distinction between romantic love and platonic love vis a vis Nandu's feelings for Manik and Dhruv.

Dhruv is in for a heartbreak and it does make me very sad. He looking back at Nandu(while she looked at Manik) and probably Alya's encouragement of his interest in Nandu(though she didn't look particularly impressed about Nandu) means huge heartbreak is on the cards for both Dhruv and Alya. Sure lets even think that Manik will sacrifice for Dhruv(which I still don't think will happen), Nandini will never see Dhruv in any other light than platonically.A sacrifice theme will only bring major heartbreak for everyone around.

I dont know if they are going to go the Alya-Dhruv route, they do seem to be getting a lot of scenes together, I am still not sure about them, I like the idea of Navya and Dhruv post heartbreaks finding common ground and getting together. Somehow I feel Navya's personality will bring out a different Dhruv but its too early to talk about it.

I dont know if Shahid is going to be telling Nandu about Alya and Dhruv but I dont think she will believe it, she understands Manik and Dhruv's friendship very well, probably more than Harshad too.

Harshad going to use Mukti upsets me, she is way too vulnerable whereas with Cabir he has a real bad relationship, so I can kind of understand it. Anyway at the end of it all, I feel Harshad is going to be friendless for a while before they all learn to let go of past hurts and reconciles.

I dont know why but I feel Navya might land up saving Mukti one day from an overdose, just a feeling, or ir could be Nandu.

How adorable were MaNan today, Manik cares deeply for her enough to want to know what troubles her, its you duffer, you! Did anyone get the feeling that Manik kind of realised that she is getting affected by him? Nandu is all flustered but manages to have the last word with Manik or so she thinks, I love their interaction, its freaking real and freaking exciting.

Precap: I love that they had a mudfight,Mr.Manik Malhotra who always dresses to the nines had no qualms having a mudfight with Nandu. It was raw passionate,"bare the soul" kind of moment that translated into the passion we saw at the end. Uff...more tomm😳

I felt that she was angling for the kiss too, her face was upturned and she was inching towards his lips😆

This was actually a very sensible review! Esp the bit about realism and societal prejudices! I was completely blown away by that analysis! And you have clearly seen the episode extremely analytically as these things are not very easy to pick on, when you are just casually watching shows! Midnight pagal= no essay yet (it's 2am😆)

You're getting a bit out of hand gurl..chill chill. I am with you regarding the dirty thoughts though..my mind is fully focused on their lust ☺️

Proximity= a very wild and honest Pari😆
SEE! You can't talk babua! You too have gandi baat in thy mind😉

I have a feeling you have met the that guy, you just aren't saying it 😉 But woah! Get those hormones under control gurl! :O Shoo shooo..focus on the medical books!

Met that guy? Ha! LOOOL! I spilled my coffee again! Nice joke😆
Nah Mais! I am PMSing! Medical books have taught me this much that when a girl PMS's, her hormones are all over the place going "phew, phew phewww"🤣

PS: I did have a very sensible comment typed out in response to your review, but then I deleted it😛
PPS: You were missed like ice cream on a rainy night <3 (Immensely!)
