This is the beauty of this drama where the storyline keeps us glued because of the well rounded characters with ever changing dynamics with each other. There is growth seen in each character which is just so true in this age group with each experiencing emotions and experiences for the first time in many cases. Stepping in the adult world and learning to deal with it.
As far as Manan is concerned...they are meant to be together basically because all things romantic point in that direction for both Manik and Nandini
1. Manik and Nandini are very conscious of each other's presence whenever they are in close proximity whereas in Dhruvs case although it is that way but Nandini is totally unaware of his physical presence in that way...in fact in the last episode she actually flinched when Dhruv touched her cheeks and had to ask him if he is ok. She never finds Manik's touch revolting even when trying to get away from him. The amazing chemistry between them is very rare and too good to spoil no matter how well enacted the other one is
2. Fireflies are used symbolically in between Manik and Nandini only...they depict and give us all the indications of where there relationship is heading. They glow and come alive only in their presence.
3. I feel that because of Dhruv being the only one to help her from the beginning and also because he suffers the same way as her brother Rishab that Nandini feels protective and friendly towards him. He is just a good friend to her...There is no romantic element from her side.
So I feel that it's an excellent suggestion to just sit and enjoy what's going to enfold in the coming episodes as the writers have envisioned. Don't let the relatively less scenes between them in the previous episode make you feel unsure about a pairing that is meant to be. I trust the writers not to spoil it by going against the flow just to make the ending different. The beautiful story telling should remain as it is until the end
