Hola catty!
I am still not over that paint wala scene, I've been watching it again and again for some time now.😆 His attraction towards Nandini is getting way too obvious now, I am surprised no one else has really noticed it, especially Dhruv. But then I guess Dhruv himself is confused regarding his own feelings. He is realising he likes and cares for Nandu in ways more than a friend would, but I don't think he will act upon his realisations anytime soon, knowing him. Nandu's dialogue about some friends always remaining friends is significant, almost like foreshadowing that their relationship might not take a different turn, at least in a mutual manner.
Manik is trying hard to keep his facade on, but not very successfully and I guess he himself knows that he is failing. That, I think is why he refuses to talk, even to Dhruv, because he knows if he starts talking about it, he won't be able to hide behind the mask of 'Monster Manik' that he is so comfortable with.
About Manik-Dhruv friendship, there is no real danger there yet, their relationship is too strong for a simple misunderstanding to do any major harm. But in a way this small fall out, for lack of a better word, could actually help them to see things in a different light and deal with their feelings on their own first.
Harshu my love, glad to see you back on I-F, can I persuade you to write some OS's :v
Yes,Manik's attraction is very obvious and I agree you would think that with the relationship Manik and Dhruv share,it should be obvious but I think because Dhruv thinks Nandini is such a touchy subject that he does not want to really broach that topic with Manik. I mean the clues are really there, if Manik reacts to things by emotionally shutting off, why is that this girl Nandini makes him react like this? The answers are there, but its like no one wants to really ask the question.
Manik right now wants to keep this feeling he has for Nandu precious, I think, he maintains this facade of rudeness while he is with the Fab5 and yet even in moments there, he slips but it wont be long that he starts to show his true feelings in front of everyone especially where Nandu is concerned. I would love to see some other colleges ka boys eyeing Nandu at the fest, cliched yes, but it would be fun to watch how he reacts😆
Even I got that foreshadowing about the friends being friends part when Nandini was talking to Dhruv, there were so much stress on the word friends in their entire conversation, its kind of hard to shrug off the message, though I am trying very hard to keep an open mind about it, Its really hard to ignore the messages, especially if you are a book nerd who finds meaning in every word or text. TV as a medium is even more straightforward, so I will have to say I am blind and deaf if I have to ignore it.
I totally agree about the Manik Dhruv equation, in the long run, it does them more good, than it does harm, so far their inter-dependency on each other while its heart-warming to see has also let them lock themselves in their own Fab 5 world without knowing how to relate to others. This should do both of them a world of good.
Oh my god, the paintwala scene, did you see his eyes after he touched her wound and she hissed in pain, it went all soft and lidded and hooded and made me feel all sorts of giddy emotions. Also we see an almost first for Manik here, flirting with Nandu, the wink, the smirk, the poor girl was so confused, but all in good time😆 we should see something beautiful
