Sorry, I just got hit with 'The Office" feelings.
Adore your Office shout-out.
Hands down, the best scene was the MaNan confrontation. Ishq bulava is getting kinda annoying. I get that they want to play up the chemistry but come on! Niti and Parth have plenty to work with without having to put a 5 minute eyelock in every episode.
Yes, these two play each other really well. Even if they need to give those eye-locks ,keep the music out . This scene could have done better with no music and better editing.
The whole magic in this particular relationship is that they have the ability to rip and claw and each other so that their most vulnerable selves are laid bare before them. Nandu most definitely has the best handle on Manik, she consistently throws him off by calling him on his hypocritical bullshit, something that even Dhruv doesn't do. And Manik might not know it, but she also sees him, like actually, she recognizes that his bravado is just a facade and that he does have a good side, but she doesn't let that cloud her judgement and go, "OMG, he's just a misunderstood little puppy." #NandiniMurthy5ever.
This was perfectly summarized. Nandini gets Manik like no another and she makes him realize himself in so many ways. There is no filter and she is not treating him as some misunderstood angsty lost puppy who needs mothering . She is saying it as it is , while knowing that he means no harm. She does trust him too with the way she allowed him to touch her. There is comfort but she doesn't use it to cover his flaws. So refreshing.
I love how she turned his entire "Do-You-Remember-How-Alya-Hurt-You" sermon on it's a** and threw it back in this face. You go, girlie! And I'm pretty sure she knows Harshad is still hiding something from her, but she recognizes that he's also been one of the people championing for her from the start and she still believes in giving him the benefit of the doubt. Something makes me think that in the near future, Harshad might come clean about whatever happened with him and Manik in the past. I hope he does, and I really hope that they don't make him a cartoonish, obvious villain, 'cause that would be a shame.
I think they are playing this show well without the villains for now. I would like that. Harshad might have used these girls but he has been their biggest support too, also at a time when they were defeated and lost. He deserves some faith but good for Nandu to keep her eyes open.
But funny though Harshad smirked as if this would break fab5, but I feel Nandini is constantly trying to keep them united in her own ways. By making Manik see the light , she is removing egos, differences within Fab5. Kinda helping in their evolution.
As for the precap, Manik/Alya - I saw that coming from a mile away, but I would take it with a pinch of salt, since precaps are misleading. And count me in as one of the people who do not get why Dhruv wants to break his friendship with Nandu. If anything, she should be the one ending it, because Dhruv was the one hiding things from her.
I don't know what makes Dhruv break that friendship, is he pulling an Alya here? But I do feel he needs to clear things with Nandini about his role in the mess. She is the one who needs answers.
