I don't have much time today, on a half hour break between countless meetings, so I snuck on to post this quickly.
Here's my take on yesterday's episode.
Larry (Angad), Mo (Prithvi) and Curly (Kripa) were being their ridiculously repetitive selves yesterday and I would have gladly loved to get my hands on them to shake some sense into the lot.
I generally liked the lighthearted feel to the episode, except for one thing…the abrupt ending to the entire Kripa "Can't we get married sooner" scene…I was expecting more on that end. It was a letdown for me…
Don't get me wrong…Angad's expression…Kripa's tears…Prithvi's blatant choice to ignore what's written clearly on both their faces, all that was great, ….but I was expecting a verbal confrontation of sorts, if not between Angad and Prithvi, then at least some intense dialogue between Prithvi and Kripa.
All we got was the same old shpeel about how she wants to forget her past and move on, and how he wants to marry her, how he trusts her love for him, blah…blah…blah,….give me a break …Pleeaaasseee!!!
Utter rubbish for them to be repeating the same old lines, like parrots that have been trained to say one thing and one thing only…Please get a life people or at least some new nonsensical lines to throw at us. 😡
Josh is a DARLING…there's no better word for him…he's trying beyond all borders and limitations to reunite these two, however, there doesn't seem to be a light at the end of this tunnel for him anytime soon… 😕
Poor baby, even Aaliyah gave up on him, and just look at what he had to go through for his efforts, he had to dance and spend the night with Aanitah… 🤢 ...Ugghh…...just thinking of it has me shuddering in horror, so imagine what he must have been feeling......to endure that for the sake of helping a friend…if that's not true friendship, then I don't know what is. 😆
I felt exactly the way he felt in the end…after all his efforts went to waste, I threw my hands up in defeat, the same way he did as he walked away in disgust.
On a lighter note, I loved the whole contrite Josh…at being caught out regarding his plans…like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar, the hiding behind the sunglasses, the hood over his head, all the Umms, Uhhs.. I didn'ts…the entire thing was just so adorable. 😆
Angad was looking so good in that red t-shirt, not to mention his outfit for the party 😳 …Poor Prithvi, didn't stand a chance in that department.
As usual, when Angad and Kripa are in the same room with each other, their eyes are inevitably drawn to the other, despite Kripa's future mother-in-law 🤢 coming to talk to her , her eyes and attentions was solely focused on Angad…and Angad, at the time talking to someone,...his eyes never fail to hone in on where Kripa is…its an involuntary action that speaks volumes.
In the end, Angad did me proud yesterday…I loved the maturity in his firm, yet heartbroken "congratulations" and the snubbing at the party…to use Nitu's phrase..Ouchhhh!!
That about turn must have left some major skid marks. 😆 It certainly threw Kripa into major shock mode. I got the vibe that she resented him for doing that whole "Yeh tumhari jeevan sathi hai" bit.
It was good to see a flicker of the old Angad back in the end…that steely gaze directed at Josh had me longing for old Angad to come back for good….because, like I've said before… the old, Arrogant Angad, will pick up the pieces and steamroll over anyone that comes in his path.
Although I have no hope for that judging from tomorrow's previews…it looks like I'll have to stock up on my tissues again. 😭
The two most important lines of yesterday for me:
"Agar khush ho, to yeh aasoo kyon?"
Prithvi hit it on the nail when he asked Kripa that….she is so determined to move on with her life, so insistant that she is happy with Prithvi, then why the shamed look on her face when Angad congratulated her, ….why the single tear as he walked out of the house…why the utter frustration (the flinging of her purse) and the staring into the distance….and the shock when Angad refused to dance with her?
Why? Why? Why?????
"Kam se kam Jhoot to mat bolo" (not used in the context that Angad did...just the dialogue)
Angad should be telling himself that…he is so blatantly lying to himself about him not wanting to be in Kripa's life. His every emotion, his every expression betrays his words, his longing for her is so evident to everybody, especially Josh…so Angad should be the one who stops lying to himself.
Kripa should stop lying to herself by trying to convince herself that she will be happy with Prithvi.
Prithvi should stop lying to himself by ignoring the emotions that he sees Angad and Kripa still feel for each other, he should stop lying to himself by thinking that Kripa loves him.
Cheers,
Hafsa
