Part Two

Early the next morning, Harshini and Angad make their way to thr train station. Biding good byes and all, they set off on the train,for Mumbai.

A couple of hours pass by, and the train finally stops at the Mumbai train station. Angad excitedly gets out and looks around,

Harshini comes up behind him: hmm…. So finally hum Mumbai pohch hi gaye, hain na?

Angad nods his head, eagerly.

Angad and Harshini are waiting for the Khanna's for over an hour, but still see no sign of them.

They both get restless, and impatient.

Angad: lagtha hai, papa ne time hi galath diya hoga,

He kicks a couple of stones indolently, wait a sec, mere paas toh unka address hai, come on Harshi

They both get hold of a taxi with a lot of difficulty and finally Khanna Manor stands in front of them.

They pay the taxi and get out, to be greeted by a ver stiff looking security guard.

Secutiry guard: aap lauk, kaha goose jaare hai?

Angad not affected by the rudeness, and says matter of factly): obviously hum Khanna house ke samne hai, toh wahi jaare honge

Security guard not amused: mai pooch kar bathatha hoon, ek minute

Angad is astonished to know that there is a phone even outside the house.

Security lets them in.

The large black gate opens, they stop in their tracks gaping, wide mouthed at the humongous palace before them.

Harshini: arre wah Angad, yeh ghar hai ya mahal, khaash mera bhi ek essa ghar hotha

Angad chides her: stop it Harshi, aur soono, yeh baath waha jakar math kehna, okay.

Entering the house, they are not only amazed, but also feel a little out of place, them being from a small town, small house, simple. And wonder if they will be able to stay here without feeling uncomfortable.

Teddy preceeds down the stairs, holding a tray filled with empty glasses and plates, he walks briskly towards them, and in his usual stern voice: Oh toh tum lauk agaye, sir ne mujhe bathadiya tha ki aap lauk anewalo ho

Harshini (getting more and more excited): acha,

She looks around anxiously, but sees no one

Par sab kaha hai?

Teddy: sab bahar gaye hai, you know usual routine mai, Naina mam and Dilip sir, as usual office mai honge, Karthik baba academy mai honge, Anita doll college mai aur Kripa maam studio mai.

Angad and Harshini look at each other, crestfallen. But, before they can continue, clicking of heels are heard, they whirl around to see Naina Khanna entering, As soon as she sees the two of them, her mood if put off, and she puts on a sour smile. She stares them up and down, and sees Angad's simple white button-down shirt, and trousers and Harshini's yellow salwar

Naina Khanna: Oh toh… tum… ahigaye, motioning to Teddy

Teddy, inki achi thara se khathir karna, khana khiladena, kuch paise vaera deke inko GOOD BYE kardena.

Naina pats her hand on Angad's cheek faking joy, picks up a file, a cassette falls from it, she picks it up and goes upstairs.

Angad is taken aback, but Naina's harsh words, his hopes shatter, he thought that they would be welcomed here, and welcomed to stay here, but he was obviously wrong, he remembers his maa, when she was worried about him, but Angad consoling her, telling her, not to worry.

Harshini taps his arm, he looks at her and they are about to go, when Naina blocks their way.

Naina Khanna: arre, tum lauk kaha jaare ho, mai toh mazak karahi thi, you know meri toh mazaak karne ki adath hai,

Angad hesitantly loosens up, and smiles a little at Naina

Naina motions for Teddy to come forward, Teddy inne dono ka samaan humare guest house mai bijvaado

Harshini interrupts: par aunty, mai toh hostel mai rehne waali thi, who toh bas Angad ko chodne aye thi mao

Naina (faking sweetness): arre yeh kya, tum bhi yahi rahogi Angad ke saath, tumhara…

Harshini: mai Harshini

Naina: oh… twirling around, she calls another servant to take care of them, and send everything to the outhouse.

Angad and Harshini go on to the outhouse

Naina watches them go and smiles wickedly: tumhe kya batha, ki mai tumhara isstemaal karke, tumhe uthne hi bizzati ke saath nikaaldoongi

PART THREE

Harshini plops down on a couch: wah ka kamra hai, kya nazara hai, hain na Angad

Hearing no answer harshini twirls around and her smile turns into one of concern: Angad, kya hua?

Angad: batha nahi, pehle Naina aunty humare saath esse pech aye jaise hum unke layak nahi, par phir achanak wapas ake, ithni meeti baathen karne laghi, I am confused

Harshini shakes her head: Angad, tum bhi, unhone kaha na, ki woh mazaak karahi thi, bhool jao usse baath ko, aur yeh socho ki hum academy mai join kab karenge

Angad still bears doubts but relaxes a little bit: I guess tum teek kerahi ho

A thud is heard on the door

Angad looks up:shayd koi hai, mai dektha hoon

Angad opens the door and Teddy walks inside

Teddy in his usual stiff manner: chaliye, Naina mam ne apko khane pe bulaaya hai

Harshini is excited: she is about to ask something to Teddy but he leaves

She turns to Angad,: Angad oh my God, mai akhir mai rockstar, singing sensation Kripa Khanna se miloongi.

Angad laughs: mai bhi unse milna jahunga, shayd woh humari madad bhi karle academy join karne mai, aur shayad woh bhi humme mocha de, jaise ki unhone Shabhir aur Akshat ko bhi chance diya tha,

Harshini hits him: ab chale, varna sab sochenge ki kaha rahegaye yeh dono

Loud, blaring music spurs the party in Khanna house. Plates are filled with assorted delicious food, wine glasses are clicking, people are dancing to the music, business associate are seated in secluded corners or chairs, reporters are lurking here and there to snap a picture of these "high class people" or to get a scoop of some juicy news.

The door opens and Angad and Harshini enter. They both stare in shock, as they weren't aware a party was being held at Khanna manor.

They stand awkwardly at one side.

Harshini whispers to Angad: Angad, chii, essi hothi hai inki party, dekho kithni besharmi se yeh dance karahe hai, aur aur kapde toh dekho, essa lagtha hai, jaise aadhe kapde ghar par hi bhool aye

Angad agrees: Sharaab na sirf buzurk pee rahe hai, par unke bache bhi, Harshini hum ine sab ke layak nahi hai

Anita spots the duo in a corner and wonders who they are and who invited them as they don't seem to be any socialites of theirs or business associates.

Anita decides to go and tease them, but her mood is turned off when she hears a wheels screeching.

Anita looks out the window. A flashy red car zooms crookedly onto one side, and parks.

The person kicks open the door, and expensive, black leather boots are seen, a black leather mini skirt, with a black tank top, shows off this girl's amazingly well toned, sexy body. She flips back her hair and long black earrings are spotted. She kicks the door shut and walks up to Khanna manor.

Anita groans and sits down angrily.

Naina spots Angad and Harshini making their way to the door.

Angad is about to step out, when the door slams open and Kripa Khanna is sanding there.

Okay I am gonna go slow and steady for a while, so I don't ruin the storyline.
