Big, fat TV wedding
The TV industry turned up in full strength for Samir Nair's wedding ceremony in Jaipur

Star Plus COO Samir Nair's wedding to Sanvari Alagh had many celebrities flocking to it. Apart from the channel staff, TV stars like Archana and Parmeet Sethi, Shilpa and Apoorva Agnihotri, Rajeshwari and Varun Badola, Manini and Mihir Mishra, Poonam and Manish Goyal attended the shaadi.
"Everything was very well organised, right from the time since we landed in Jaipur," says actress Poonam Narula. The actress and her husband were put up in a separate hotel as the quilla (fort) where the rest of the guests stayed was too hot and noisy for their baby. "I give full marks to Sanvari and Samir for putting together the event so beautifully. They knew that my son was accompanying us and they made sure that we were comfortable."
On the D-day the bride looked resplendent in a peach coloured lehenga, while the groom wore a traditional sherwani. However, the show-stopper was the bride's mother, veteran actress Maya Alagh who performed a dance number exclusively at her son-in-law's request.
Talking about dancing, how could the Nach Baliye couples stay away? "Archanaji, Manini and the rest of us rehearsed a bit on Rajeshwari's 'Hulle hulare...' track before we hit the dance floor. We had a great time dancing for Sanvari's big day. The couple looked so happy," says Poonam.
