😛Hola chicos😛
What's going on? Not a sensible question to ask after tonight, is it? Yet, I hope you all are doing fine.
If we are all done passing moral judgements on Pine, Jalapeno & leach-e, eagerly promoting censorship, and fuming over Ekta mai for dishing intimate scenes between Leach-e & Jalapeno to young audience, can we begin to analyze the soap, performance by actors, goof-ups & a bit on the characters themselves?
Warning:
The following post is purely a work of an over-worked imagination. All ideas are original to an extent. Reader discretion is adviced: you are only allowed to read the post if you take it in good humor. A finger will be pointed at all readers; Any insenstivity on the author's part is either due to lack of faith & interest in A-K love story or due to new-found feeling of emotional detachment from the world.
The crux of the episode:
The Episode was mind-blowing, and my expectations from the episode felt a minimal blow. The script writers definitely unfolded the story with intensity, which in turn, only ended up leaving a stamp on my mind.
The opening scene, with angad reliving his life in memories, was heart-touching. As soon as his phone rang, the range of expressions- surprize at recieving a phone call from krips and worry for her - were marvelously portrayed by IQ. IQ just gets better at mastering all shades of his character day by day. Only problem with IQ is that he fails to master a smile on his face; the smile always ends up being a smirk. I wonder why Angad didn't hang up the phone when krips didn't respond for 5 minutes or so.
The atmosphere for this scene needed to be somber, but the director or who ever manages the sets tried to play with light/dark a little too much. It not only failed to display any sort of relevance for Angad's emotions (green is a color of envy) but also managed to put Angad's face in the dark. They should have used more light on his face so his emotions would be more visible.
What was with the circumventing around angad with the camera? The only thing that the camera man was able to accomplish was to get me dizzy and have my eyes search for the man!
Anyways, the conversation between krips & leach-e tugged at the heart, too. Neha did marvels portraying krips agony for making a compromise with prithvi, and shyness in offering herself to prithvi. Just take a look at how her eyes fall on the ground as she talks to prithvi. Amit was successful at conveying prithvi's hesitance at taking this step with krips, especially when he is aware that krips isn't his.
I wonder why prithvi went ahead anyways. But it would have been aweful for krips if he had rejected her, too. It was a loose-loose situation. What followed next is beyond description.
Gosh, my bottom jaw dropped an inch or two watching leach-e & jalapeno share those intimate moments on screen. In fact, I was staring at the screen without a blink (don't get any wrong ideas) waiting anxiously for the story to unfold.
I must add that these scenes were shot tastefully and weren't as dramtic & provocative as some of you have made them to be. Stop over-acting & exxagerating, please! Simultaneous shooting of Angad playing the drums intensified all and to some extent lessened & heightened the effect of those scenes.
Ekta mai & team have once again managed to get inspired by a wonderful movie - parineeta. I won't accuse ekta mai of plagerizing this time; I am glad she did cause the drum beats were perfect in showing his angst, frustrations and realization of lost love to another man. Sigh!
IQ, once again, was just brilliant. How I wish they had focussed on his facial expressions while he was beating those drums and let the pain & intensity in his eyes speak for him rather than loud music. Today was the limit to these people forcing songs into the narrative. Every single scene had music in the background....why can't or couldn't they let the eyes, the face, the gestures and the silence do the work? Only music that suited was the 'oprah' kind that got played while angad was drinking to his sorrows.
Why in the world did he wash his face in alcohol? what is the significance to that? IQ, IQ, IQ...too good man, just too good...loved the way he just shut his eyes, and gave a distraught look....I think it was then angad realized that he had pushed krips to the edge. I love the way he shakes...his head movement makes a nice cushion for his emotions.
Next came a stinging slap from jalapeno. What can I say? She learnt from the best. However, I don't view her actions as a way to extract revenge at all. She was desperate to save her marriage. Besides, instead of punishing angad was his follies, I think she punished herself for loving Angad to the extent of madness. Ah the words - thanks angad! wont' you greet me? You have pushed me close to prithvi..all thanks to you...I was having difficulty establishing a relationship with prithvi, but your efforts have accomplished that, too. I walk out of this room, your room and your house as a complete bride'...how much more pain can we conveyed? I have no words for the script-writers...sometimes, they do do a good job. Neha managed to say these words with a smile & visible pain. I wonder how cruel fate and fortune can be!
The last scene was wonder in itself. I didn't realize the extent to which Angad got hurt by krips tonight! Usually, he talks back to her, hurls insults at her, mocks her, and burns things around him when he is hurt. Today he was silent; tears were waiting to fall down his eyes..and as soon as krips left, they did fall...in anguish he threw the sheets on the floor. I thought he would burn the sheets, but this time he was hurt enough to hurt himself- without flinching he put his hand on the flame and extinguished it, too. I guess he is more angry at himself for making krips take this step.
As p-k scenes ran through his mind, I remembered how krips have had moments of similar anguish..she too had imagined him & simone together. She too had felt the pain. Tonight was angad's turn to suffer, I guess.
The script writers are actually good, and since I am in favorable mood, I will praise them a bit, too. Tonight's episode has paved good path for future episodes. Whoever thought that displaying details of p-k intimacy wasn't needed is just wrong (only talking story-wise): it was very crucial to the plot and very much needed.
That is all on the episode; now to the goof-ups by script-writers: these writers are very confused about krips' character.😡
First they show krips is a character with spine and then they make her loose every battle and show her totally helpless in a man's world. They definitely have a weak memory, too. Just yesterday, they had krips say that she will hurt angad where it hurts the most and therefore we percieve her actions as an act of vengence. Tonight, it was to start a new life with prithvi. I wish they would just stop oscillating her stances. They butcher it to their preferences. Horrible, just horrible! Change your ways, script-writers!
Alright, the post is getting a little too long...so, I will end up with a few more points.
1. One of the directors for KYPH has an obsession with the notion of looking into life through a window. I swear, many a times the person just haves the camera look through a square or a hole...mostly in zaib-misti scenes. okay..had to let this one out, was nagging at my brain for too long.😆😆
2. Some of you are acting so strange in regards to P-K consummation: calling her actions 'yuck', 'eeewww', using the term 'sanskar' in a demeaning manner, and going to the extent of calling krips 'besharam'..I mean, come on guys...only word missing from this list is 'prostitute'...you might want to add that to your vocabulary for krips, too. This is way too much for me to deal with...sigh!
3. I read somewhere that 'angad shouldn't take krips back after what she has done'...what is so horrible about what she's done? consummate her marraige with her husband? not wait for somebody who she thinks of a cheater? Calling angad to let him know of her decision? Come on...angad shoudn't take her back...lolz, angad isn't a saint either. I dont' think he has a choice anyways.😆😆
4. you guys can't tolerate such intimate scenes b/w prithvi & krips, but actually want to see A-K do such scenes....I find this so funny! howcome? tell me...😉
5. ok last one, we all call ekta 'mai'...mai is a term for mother, right? Why do we diss her and call her mother at the same time? Is this supposed to be ironic? I only picked this term up from you guys..😆
Alright, this is it! Like I said before...some of these 5 points I find so funny...I hope you will take them in positive light and laugh at them rather than take it to heart....hey, I already posted a warning...read at your own risk.😆 Hopefully, I haven't gained enemies by putting all this up...I can' t tolerate people disliking me.😳
