Truth be told, last nite was a let down for me.
Two words describe it best: BIG (DISJOINTED) MESSUP!😕
Notice the dis-orienting flow of events:
- Sizzling showdown (aka mudslinging match)
- Mumbled (but unheard) sorry
- Flood of tears shed in dark corridor
- Current hubby totally not getting heroine's predicament
Now Forget the first 3 things & act as nothing happened.
-Perform on a soppily romantic number (which doesnt gel with the electric showdown min's earlier)
-Give each other forlorn looks while performing
-Current hubby still not getting heroine's predicament
Now forget above performance & again act as nothing happened:
- Get into war mode
- Do Hug/ Hug with your current partner
- Shoot poisonous looks at your EX
- Think dangerous thoughts abt avenging yourself
- Current hubby still clueless abt heroine's predicament
And dont even get me talking abt the episode fillers in the middle ... just sooo unneeded & borring!!!
After so much anticpation of what wud happen, we only got a sizzler and then, as Ekta does ... NO FOLLOW UP at all..... What amazes me to no end is that how can 2 ppl have such a scorching showdown one min and the next min go and perform a show and later do kiss kiss/hug hug with their respective partners as if ' nothing' happened? Does this happen? Anywhere? 😕
Plus, I dont know abt you : but though I just luv the song 'dil hai keh manta nahin', it DIDNOT gel with the situation, esp not after the major showdown mins ago... after all the mud slinging they did ... u know him flaunting his carnal knowledge and her slapping him and going totally beserk with her emotions and all : how CAN THEY start singing something so personal? him singing that 'bus tumhain dekha karain & mujh mein sama jaa '... Frankly, the song was a GROSS mismatch! This song wud have suited had they 're-affirmed their luv for each other' and yet cud not be with each due social or other commiitments ...
I blame it all on Ekta's poor follow-up : either this song shud not have been shown - some other shud have been OR - they shud have had this show down may be 1 or 2 episodes earlier so that a cool down period was involved Coz lets be frank : if I was blaming a certain guy for ditching me while I was pregnant and he was scoffing away his carnal knowledge of me, in a repugnant way, there wud be NO WAY IN HELL I wud bring myself to sing such a song -- even if my current hubby's financial world was coming crashing down on him... but hey! I guess thats just me...
what wud have been better is that in line with all that anger/hurt and betrayal they wud have performed to a song in a 'war mode' or some thing which had a double entendre - that I will get u for all the hurt u have caused me:NOT THIS SOPPY SONG!
OK.On another note: Kripa really stupfied me y/day as well when she whacked angad with that Lost Baby walla dialogue. That was CRASS of her ... way too crass! 😕
Luk lady - we get it : u lost your baby and u put the blame on him. He repented ... u found that out... u felt sorry... u forgave him ( for everything including this part) went back to him, re-started your r/ship with him and even decided to Marry him. This means u moved on : we kinda got that u had dealt with this issue.
Now u can't bring it out every time u are feeling vulnerable and bang him on the head with this.... This, is a major NO NO in my books.....
But, being a hopeless romantic, I will forget this washout epi for what it was : some eye candy (that is always appreciated, esp that appearnace in the Black jacket)& a 5-minute sizzler (which went over the top on some issues).

Uffff! .... just too gud ! I am amazed at the way u put things so simply and yet beuatifully....! Yes... they are each others alrite ... now if they wud just stop fighting each other so much!
