On a serious note - Misty - I think like Pallavi and Angeleyes said - it is more to protect herself from him - she cannot trust her emotions when she is around him - maybe the last time was a close call.

Also, the marriage is really a farce marriage. It was only a ritual that P-K went through - her real marriage - may not have been in front of society - was the one where Angad filled her maang with lipstick - I believe.

Of course their souls do not need to go through tthe marriage ritual to realise that they belong to each other - only the physical body has to go through the marriage process to remind itself and show the world that they belong to each other.
