I've said it before and I'll say it again....Nitu your analysis makes the episode seem more exiting than it was....So kudos to you for a great job once again.
I'm not exactly inspired by yesterdays show to wax poetic, or even vent like usual, but here's my take anyways.
After such an explosive episode on Wednesday, I feel that this bland offering was a cop-out by the writers.
I missed the first set, so I didn't get all the blatant Sony advertising (than goodness), however, it was my misfortune to get to see AnitaaH....dear, do stick to your day job, as my eardrum were ringing for hours after hearing that rendition of yours. I guess you're one of the lucky one's who has a guy love you despite all your.....idiosyncrasies(for lack of a better word).
Exactly!!! Actually I could quote your whole post, T,....and just say ditto!!! I feel this was a major faux-pas on the writers side, to so blindly ignore what had happened between Zaib and Kripa......I would have expected to see her sniffing into her pillows, hurt at what had almost taken place, and him probably hitting the bottles once again in an effort to drown his sorrows at what he almost did.....yet the writers seemed to have swept it under the carpets, to be forgotten until they deem fit! A big NO-NO in my books!!!!
What I would have like to have seen though, was this:
As Kripa so arrogantly told Zaib that he couldn't even get a guitar strum to his tune, he wants to get people to do the same...... after she gave him the wedding card and they had their mini confrontation,.....as she was walking away, he should have strummed a few notes, in perfect tune!!!! Can you just imagine what her expression!!! 😆 She would have been frozen, and that would have been the ultimate mental slap!!! What a wasted opportunity…..Sigh!!!!
Prithvi actually had a sweet, friendly smile when he saw Kripa battling to tie those pesky back-strings and all I can say is Thank God there wasn't any of his Lust-filled gazes, 'cause added to all the Roo-Rooing, I would have lost my supper!!!
One good thing out of this.....Zaib looked Fiinneeee!!!! In that purple t-shirt, all tight and displaying his oh-so-plentiful muscles!!! 😳 😳 Sigh, what's a girl to do, but succumb, what say T!! 😳 😆 😉
As for the last set, I truly feel sorry for Mishy, because Zaib has played her.....she is entrapped by him, in love with him, to the point of hallucinating about him on her Sangeet night. She is so engrossed in her thoughts of him, and she is sadden by that, so much so, that she lashes out at AnittaH, in an attempt to take out some of her frustrations.
Suvarna was good today, especially in the last close-up shot. You could see all the sadness and pain reflected in her eyes and on her face.
O.k, so they played "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam".....but I fully expected Zaib to break into "Main Yaha Hoon" from Veer-Zara as it was taken directly from Veer-Zara's books.....I must say this, though, and you're probably going to called me biased....but the SRK – Preity scene was much more touching, much more haunting!!!
Oh, another upside to this episode......Nitu is going to continue with her fan-fics! Yipeee!!!!
