Excellent Analysis as usual Nitu……you outdo yourself each day. 👏
Zaib really knows how to play the game doesn't he…..he knows each and every of Kripas buttons and knows just which ones to push and when to push them……he strums her like her strums his guitar, and there ain't nothing she can do about it……like you said, she tries to put up the good fight, but that doesn't seem to last very long.
She doesn't seem to know that bothers her the most…..is it when he ignores her or when he pays attention to her…..poor dear is so baffled, that she doesn't know which way to turn.
Zaib's vow to Kripa to that Mishty would be the one who runs after him, that she would be mad about him, and mad for him (after all, he's Zaib, woman chase him, not the other way around) was a sure fire way to raise Kripa's hackles but all her protests were more bluster than blood.
The three ladies in Angads life, Kripa, Daadi and Mishty were gorgeous yesterday….Mishty was sexy as usual and Kripa, well, she was back to looking natural and innocent, and that is the best look for her.
Kripa's heart yearns to be with Angad……I love how she instinctively walked towards him when he mentioned the lady in white…..giving no thought to Prithvi, to anyone around her….all she could see was Zaib / Angad with his hand held out to her (or what seemed to be to her)….she was so entranced that she didn't even see Mishty doing the exact same thing. The widening of Mishty's eyes in shock when she saw Kripa in white was a great contrast to the slight narrowing of Kripa's eyes in anger?? (Normally, I can read Kripa's expressions easily, but didn't get her expression down pat in this scene, for some reason) when she saw Mishty, then the look of confusion when Zaib's aunty moved to take his hand….the whole thing was very well done.
Daadi's look got to me yesterday….when Zaib mentioned his inspiration, and the crowd parted to show her, she had such a look of elation, of hope and love, thinking that he was talking to her, only to have that hope and elation crumble into grief and confusion when his Aunty Rita stepped forward…..from the three…Kripa, Mishty and Daadi, Daadi was the one I felt for when all this happened, daadi, who came to the party grieving for Angads death, but hoping to see Zaib one time to see if she could see her sabse pyara batcha in him, daadi, who is now resigned to the fact that Zaib is not Angad, and that pains her.
O.k, so Like Veeru I think I have SSP (Selevtive Seeing Problem), because when Zaib was singing Mann Ki Lagan, in between Kripa and Mishty's flashbacks…..I swear some of those flashbacks were on his part as well. Look at it, right, he sings the following lines and the camera focuses on him only, in between the flashbacks.
Aa Ja O Meri Jaan (The Rabba Rabba concert)
Mere Dil Ka Jahaan (the beach scenes)
Maange Teri Khabar (the mango scene)
Dhoondhe Tera Nishaan (some scene by a camp fire)
And as he sang the last line there was a slight smile on his face……I might be wrong, but would like to think that this is true, because if it is, then that smile during the song and those flashbacks mean that despite him hating Kripa right now, the memories of them together are not bitter…..he still regards them as fond, hence the slight smile…..I'm probably way off the mark, but one can dream now, can't one.

He sends our warrior princess into an embarrassed-butterfly mode by simply and very casually telling her that the zip of her dress is calling for help!...close…closer…closest…and next we gape at Zeb sniffing-whispering-grazing at Kripa's hair and neck….defences fall chip-by-chip, some goosebumps and as she whispers Angad's name in "don't-know-what-condition"…she receives Slap No.3!...he tells her that he was kidding and" The name is Zeb, Sweetheart!"…and goes off..leaving Kripa defeated..........
Oh my!!!! I love the way you describe this scene…..yikes, it gives an extra pleasure thinking about it and seeing it again with your lovely words ringing in my mind…..
There was none of the blatant sexual innuendo like the Zaib/ Misthy Car scene, yet it was more seductive and it sent tingles down my spine and left me with goose bumps at the chemistry that leapt off the screen.
This man has got me totally Fida over him, the seductive voice, the teasing grin, the intensity….all that combined with the oh-so-casual, though softly and seductively spoken "The name is Zeb, Sweetheart!" had me reaching for the fan once again. 😳
I fully understand how Kripa is flustered by him and why her heart goes all aflutter during their encounters.
