Hardly a step-up
Ronit Roy replaced Amarr Upadhyay as Mihir in Star Plus's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
In terms of acting, the original Mihir was bad and the new one is hardly an improvement on him. However, the fear that a replacement would wipe out the show's fan following seemed unnecessary when its viewership ratings soared and still are sky high.

Eijaz Khan replaced Rakshak Sahani as Kavya in Star Plus's Kkavyanjali
Good looks pay. Rakshak, with average looks and a bad voice had to meet this fate. He remains a face in the crowd still. Eijaz however bailed out the soap and himself too. He earlier essayed character roles in other Balaji soaps but now has stepped onto the pedestal of success, recognition and has definitely assumed starry airs.

Gurpreet replaced Rajeev Khandelwal as Sujal in Star Plus's Kahiin To Hoga
Khandelwal being dropped like a hot potato made news everywhere. Gurpeet fell flat in the face of tremendous expectations from him. Not that the original actor was a fabulous one, but the new Sujal is nothing more than a model, an object, a stilted performer. His inability to emote is apalling. Wonder how many days his good looks will allow him to settle here.

Big mistake
Shilpa Saklani replaced Manasi Joshi Roy as Kkusum in Sony's Kkusum
Her art (if it may be so called) at portraying the character is too artificial. It doesn't take us anywhere near the character she is supposed to play. She just fails to retain the magic that Manasi kept alive as a legacy she got from Nausheen Ali Sardar (the original Kkusum). She fails to emote and raise viewer involvement.

Raj Logani replaced Rahil Azam as Ashmit in Sony's Ye Meri Life Hai. (However, Rahil was replaced by Raj last week again.)
Raj failed to carry off the mystery that Rahil created around his character. His looks suit a much younger character . This constant walking in and out is very confusing. Rahil better keep himself in good health.

Rohit Roy replaced Anuj Saxena as Abhay in Sony's Kkusum, Anuj then replaced Rohit
Rohit suited the character more than Anuj. May be because he naturally looks casanova. His acting skills, dialogue delivery and expressions are far better than Anuj's.Its high time the producers made their mind.
