Rajeev, Aamna in splitsville

The New Year has begun on a sour note for the couple after they decided to spend time apart

After a whirlwind courtship that started on the sets of their debut serial Kahiin To Hoga, Aamna Shariff and Rajeev Khandelwal are in splitsville. The couple may not have spoken about their relationship in print, but there is no denying their chemistry, their regular escapades and Sunday shopping sprees together.
However, there was trouble in paradise after Rajeev landed a role on the SAB show, Left Right Left. Apparently, his special bonding with co-star Priyanka Bassi (Naina) didn't go down well with Aamna.
Says a reliable source, "Rajeev is very popular on the sets. He has his own gang of friends and hangs out with them throughout the day. Aamna is no longer a visitor on the sets. All is not well between them."
Breaking the rules
Recently, the couple even refused to attend a New Year's bash at a friend's place thanks to their differences. Says a close friend of the couple, "Of late, Aamna and Rajeev have been having major differences of opinion. Unable to come to terms with it, they decided not to be together for New Year's Eve. Aamna is tired of following Rajeev's rules about keeping their relationship under wraps."
Says another actor friend, "Aamna is a very private person. Even though she has never acknowledged her romance with Rajeev, it was evident that she was in love. Now that they have broken up, Aamna is finding solace in her close friends."
Project shelved
The biggest indicator of the romance going downhill is the reduction in the number of calls Rajeev gets from Aamna. Informs a crew member of Left Right Left, "She used to call him throughout the day. Now, he is hardly ever on the phone. Rajeev spends more time with his co-stars than chatting with Aamna the way he used to until sometime ago."
What's more, the couple are not longer part of Hum Do Aur Hamare Nauh, scheduled to air in April. The couple, who had shot for a pilot episode together, has begged out of the project now.
