Yet another Sujal to be ousted from Balaji?
Kahiin To Hoga will go off air and Ekta doesn't have any other role for Gurpreet Singh...

There are speculations about Kahiin To Hoga going off air. So, where does this leave Gurpreet Singh aka Sujal? Especially since Ekta Kapoor is pretty upfront when it comes to future plans for him. "As of now I have no role for Gurpreet," says Ekta. "I can't yet put Kahiin To Hoga actors in another show as it's still on air. I'll require time to place these actors elsewhere."
Gurpreet, however, is putting on a brave face. "I'm not perturbed about the future at all," he says. "I know that I have worked hard to live up to the audiences' expectations. The character of Sujal is big enough to leave a mark on them. I have given my best and now come what may, I don't care."
Gurpreet's problem was that despite playing one of the popular characters in the show he could never be in the good books of producer Ekta Kapoor. "I don't think that's true. I think Ekta values professionalism as a producer. I've never reported late on the sets, nor have I ever thrown my weight around," he says.
Gurpreet made headlines last week about his arm-twisting exercise with Ekta Kapoor's right-hand man, Saket. He was pulled up by Ekta for this. "Look, I'm not a Mumbaite and hence I'm not used to the foul language used by people here. Saket would often use indecent words. But I was in no mood to take it. It was just a repercussion of what he said to me. Honestly, I don't know if Ekta is aware of what happens to her actors on the sets," he says.
Now he's being talked about again, this time for not being included in the channel's prestigious Diwali Dhamaka show. He blames his co-star Aamna Shariff for it who, according to him, had influenced the channel against him.
Did that upset him? "Of course I feel bad," he admits. "Right from day one, Aamna was uncomfortable with me. After Rajeev Khandelwal quit, she couldn't accept me as Sujal. She had forgotten that Sujal and Kashish are only an on-screen pair and Rajeev wasn't playing Sujal any more. She made it very clear to the channel and the production house that she didn't want to be seen with me at any special events or shows. Aamna ruined things for me."
What about his other co-stars? "I get along well with Shabbir Ahluwalia, Siddharth and others. They've been really co-operative," Gurpreet says.
Meanwhile, what does he have to say about the rumour of his imminent ouster from Balaji? "I'll be a part of Balaji as long as Ekta wants me around," he replies humbly.
