No Nach Baliye for us

With the formal announcement of the 10 couples for Nach Baliye 2, the television industry is split into two halves — those who were approached but couldn't do it, and others who weren't approached for the show at all.

We tell you all about those could have been on the list, but were unable to make it.

Niki Aneja Walia and Sonny Walia

It's learnt that the channel approached this jodi, but since Niki is expecting her first baby and settled in London for the moment, the names were dropped from the final list.

Iqbal Khan and fiancee Sneha

He's famous for his jhatka-matkas. So when Iqbal's name was missing from the list, lots of eyebrows were raised.

Giving the reasons for his opting out, Iqbal says, "I was approached for the show, but I wasn't too keen on doing it. Firstly, I am shooting non-stop for both Kavyanjali and Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai.

Besides that, I am not too comfortable with the idea of getting Sneha in the industry as I am working. I would rather see myself working hard, earning good money and keeping her happy. I don't think she would have been too comfortable doing a dance show like Nach Baliye."

Mohan Kapur and Achint Kaur

"It was difficult coordinating Achint's dates,and I basically have two left feet, so that explains why we are not doing Nach Baliye 2," says Mohan Kapur.

Kiran Karmarkar and his wife Rinku

There was buzz that this couple will definitely make it to the finals. It is learnt that even though Kiran wasn't too keen with the idea, his wife Rinku was quite enthusiastic about shaking a leg or two.

However, Kiran had the last word and decided to stay away from the show. When asked, he says, "Yes, we were approached, but due to some personal reasons I am not able to do it."

Ram Kapur and his wife Gautami

Recently turned father, Ram Kapur had to decline the offer due to both family and work pressure.

"I just don't have the time for the show, hence I had to say no," says Ram. It's also learnt that Gautami is devoting most of her time to their baby girl Sia these days.

Ashutosh Rana and Renuka Shahane

Between these two, Renuka had the most time and anticipation to boogie woogie on Nach Baliye.

However, we learn that she realised that chances of that happening were bleak when her hubby showed his blocked dates for this year. Due to back-to-back shooting dates for his projects, Ashutosh and Renuka had to say no.

Rajeev Khandelwal and Aamna Shariff

Even though both Rajeev and Aamna refused to confirm or deny being approached, a close friend reveals, "Yes they did get a call, but both of them were not keen on being seen in the public as a couple or having a relationship."

This is definitely one couple that most of the viewers wanted to see on stage this year.

how cud dey offer nach baliye to my raj wiv aamna
