Gaurav's wrong turn lands show for Rajeev

Rajeev Khandelwal was not the first choice for Deeya and Tony Singh's forthcoming show Left Right Left. If all had gone as per the original plan of the producers and the channel (SAB), Gaurav Chopra would've played the army guy, which eventually went to Khandelwal.

When contacted, Gaurav was hesitant to talk about being the first choice for Rajeev's role, "I won't deny that I was approached," he began.

Left Right Left did not take off on the date given to Chopra. In the meantime, Chopra got busy with his Hollywood film.

No feedback

"I kept coordinating with the people who mattered. But after a certain point of time, I stopped getting any feedback on the status of the show. Then suddenly one day I got a call asking if I would like to be the sutradhar for the same show."

A days later, Chopra also declined Tony and Deeya Singh's Jabb Love Hua (Zee). "They wanted me to play the second lead, but I did not like the role." In the past few weeks, Gaurav has been flooded with offers. Another one was Twinkle Beauty Parlour (SAB). What made him diss that?

Price problems

Gaurav explains, "I was asked to do Twinkle Beauty Parlour at a price which did not suit me," he says, adding, "I was also supposed to do BAG Films' forthcoming show Ankhiyon Ke Jharonkon Se (Star Plus). Their creative head had zeroed down on me. Later, a channel EP told me that I had not been selected.

Apparently, the production house had cut corners and got someone else for the role, at a lesser price. But they lied to the channel saying I was not available on the allotted dates.

Since I have been travelling a lot these days, it was very easy for them to do that." Chopra's role in AKJK is now being done by Chaitanya Chaudhary.

tfs.. 😃 rajeev is a much better choice 4 da role... 👏 rajeev luks ... 😳 and is a very talented actor! 😃 and so is chetainya... 😃
