What does Aamna do a Sunday?
Aloo Chaatstar Aamna Shariff loves her own company, she loves watching films by herself on quiet Sunday afternoons
I pamper myself... by not getting out of bed before 10 am.
Breakfast... on Sunday can include a treat like a dosa, apart from the fruits and juices which are a necessity. A breakfast buffet at Taj Lands End is another option. I end up trying everything there but only manage small bites as I am a poor eater.
Power yoga replaces the gym... as I believe I shouldn't work out on my holiday, it defeats the purpose of a Sunday.
Hours of chatting... with my childhood buddies Aseya and Taqdees makes me feel complete on Sundays.
I love watching movies... so I get DVDs and watch them with my friends and family. I recently enjoyed watching Apocalypto. I'm also hooked on to the HBO TV series called Entourage.
I love fresh flowers... and I personally decorate my house with them. My pick includes red and white carnations.
Tidying my wardrobe... is a huge task as it's always in a mess, but I attend to it on Sundays. I am a shopaholic and am very passionate about my bags and shoes. While rearranging them, I often discover things I had previously bought and forgotten about. So that's a treat.
Sunday lunch is typically Muslim... and includes biryani, khichda and mutton chops. I am not particularly fond of rice but on Sundays I relish it along with kachumbar (raita).
I love my own company... on Sunday afternoons and love watching romantic films like If Only all by myself.
love writing... so on Sundays, I pen down my thoughts, incidents that I would love to commit to memory.
Dinner is a grand affair... with all my friends and family over. My preference in food is considered important as it's the only day I am at home. I love Chinese, Indian, Lebanese and even Arabic food. If I feel like having sea food, I go to Dakshin at ITC.
I love dark chocolate cake... after dinner.
I love sleeping... and I can't stay up beyond 11 pm. So I head to bed early, after my Sunday prayers.
