I think Bhishma Pitamah was the strongest warrior of all the Kauravas, because in his childhood, he was taught by the Devas and in his teenage-hood, he was taught by Rishi Parashuram. He was an unequalled archer, unparalelled in the knowledge of the Vedas, and followed Dharma to the core.
He is also one of my favorite characters in the Mahabharat, because every person on the list cheated at least once in the war, but Bhishma never did. He was truthful and valiant.
Before the war started, both sides made a promise that they would follow war ethics and rules, and while Bhishma was the commander of the army, everyone fought fairly, but after he died, both sides sides started fighting unfairly.
Shri Krishna himself said that while Ganga Putra Bhishma was standing, unfairness and unethics had no place in the war.

three warriors of Kaurava were very powerful...Pitamah, Karna and Dronacharya...they were the trouble to Pandava and all of them died by cheating otherwise it was impossible to kill all of them.

I like the character of Pitamah.....i agree you on the point pitamah never ever cheated..he himself revealed the secret to pandava how to kill him..he didn't even care of himself...he was really guilty of siding the Karava beacuse he had taken oath/his bond to hastinapur.
Arjuna couldn't kill Drona...of course he troubled Drona but he wasn't able to kill him.
The death of Drona was though from unfair means but let me remind u all that Drona had used the Brahmadanda on the 15th day of the Mahabharata. This spiritual divine weapon contained the power of the 7 greatest sages of Hinduism. Drona had neither imparted the knowledge of this divine weapon to either Ashwattama or Arjuna. Thus, he proves unconquerable on the 15th day of war. Krishna asks Yudhisthira to proclaim that Drona's son Ashwathama has died, so that the invincible and destructive Kuru commander would give up his arms and thus could be killed & this what exactly what happened!!!So if u have to blame somebody for Drone's death, then collect the guts to blame none other than the mastermind-Lord Krishna!!
Karna faced many limitations and unusual circumstances on his side and nobody to support him in his war against Arjuna.
1. On birth, was left by mother, in fear of society.
2. Raised as sootha putra and didnt had kshatriya credential as should have been.
3. Couldnt participate in Draupadi Swayamvara, otherwise Pandavas wouldnt have had Draupadi.

Before final war with Arjuna,
1. Arjuna had Lord Krishna as charioteer, but Karna had Shalya, who didnt like Karna.
2. Krishna requested Karna to join Pandavas as rightful elder of family and marry Draupadi as sixth husband only after declaration of war, otherwise, things might had been different.
3. During learning archery, was cursed by his Guru.Parashurama for being a kshatriya. He was stung by Indra as an insect.
4. Kunti asked him to not to use a weapon second time after Lord.Krashna informed Karna of his origin, only after declaration of war.
5. Karna would have killed Arjuna by sarpasthra on first use, if he followed Shalya's request to change the aim from neck to chest.
6. Arjuna had Lord Krishna, Kunti, Indra, Shiva, Hanuman and so on to support him in his war against Karna. Despite which Karna had chances to kill Arjuna.
7. Shalya left Karna and karna had to chariot himself at critical stage.

However, its Lord Krishna's blessings that helped Arjuna in his war with anybody and his reclamation as the greatest archer

I would like say from my personal opinion.....
why did Kunti was asked to go beg to Karna to spare the other 4 sons of her and also to shoot Nagastra only once?
Why was he robbed of his Kavach and Kundala?
Why was Yudhistra not able to defeat him and he got injured badly by Karna?
Why did Arjuna not kill Karna in the last battle unless he was trying to lift his chariot? He killed him because Krishna forced him.
Why did Yudhistra request Salya to try to demoralise Karna?

Karna was no way inferior to Arjuna, his kindness became his weakness, yea he killed Abhimanyu by cheating ,even before that Arjuna killed Bhishma by cheating and Drona later was defeated by cheating ,so was Duryodana and Karna,so know the facts.

Karna ran away from the captures of Duryodana cause he was drunk like everyone else at the time and never expected a battle and he never defeated Bheema by cheating and spared his life *remembering his promise to kunti* .Bheema was not a archer at all in the first place, even Arjuna cant defeat Bheema in wrestling, talk about Archery not wrestling
its clear that Karna was powerful than any warrior in Pandava.

Vrishasena is the name of Karna's son whereas Karna was known as 'Vasusena' meaning-the one born with wealth.

👏 very well said....my views exactly..may be karna was equally skilled but dharma was on bheeshma's side..he never thought of using unfair means..

I beg to differ! Kunti NEVER asked him to spare 4 pandavas! Kunti only wanted her son to side with pandavas . She never wanted brothers to kill each other. Karna , because of his obligation towards Duryodhan could not accept this...So HE HIMSELF gave her a promise that her 5 sons will be alive..He will not kill any other pandava other than Arjun. Plz someone post the story of nagastra! i know it's different from your version.

Why was he robbed of his Kavach and Kundala?
It was done by Lord Indra because he knew Karna was invincible with kavach and kundal and this way, pandavas can never be victorious...It was upto Karna to give his kavach or kundal and it was entirely his decision to do it! nobody forced him or "cheated " upon him. He knew Indra would come in brahman's vesh..

Why was Yudhistra not able to defeat him and he got injured badly by Karna?
How can Yudhistir defeat him? Karna was more powerful than him. Karna could have k illed him, Nakul and Sehdev if he had not promised Kunti.

Why did Arjuna not kill Karna in the last battle unless he was trying to lift his chariot? He killed him
because Krishna forced him.
that's entirely your opinion and you can stick to it..despite of so many discussions you are on the same point.
Why did Yudhistra request Salya to try to demoralise Karna?
This was nowhere shown in BR's Mahabharat. Salya was trying to do so because he was Nakul and Sehdev's mama..He was cheated upon by Duryodhan to fight for him ..Ok you only tell why was he trying to do so?

Karna was no way inferior to Arjuna, his kindness became his weakness, yea he killed Abhimanyu by cheating ,even before that Arjuna killed Bhishma by cheating and Drona later was defeated by cheating ,so was Duryodana and Karna,so know the facts.

Karna was Duryodhan's partner in crime and he was as much wrong in Mahabharat as Duryodhan was. Despite of knowing that Duryodhan was always wrong, during varnavrat, during the dice game, during the Virat war, Abhimanyu's death, during Mahabharat war , he always supported him and helped him in his plans...No matter how much strength or skill he had, he was wrong from day 1 till the end of his life...He was cursed because he was an adharmi...and it was his destiny to die that way. If he had taken pandavas side, the war would have been averted !! but he gave more importance to his friendship rather than dharma...SO WHAT Drona refused to teach him? He was taught by a guru greater than Drona..He was equal to pandavas in strength, in skill, in dharma, in looks, therefore he could have made his presence felt WITHOUT the help of Duryodhan....His ambition, his ego, his hatred against Arjun stopped him from seeing anything except Duryodhan's "ehsaan" ..A true friend is the one who guides his friend , who can stop him from doing anything wrong but Karna NEVER stopped Duryodhan....haan mein haan milane wale dost nahi dushman hote hain...because of people like shakuni, dushasan and karna around him, Duryodhan became so adharmi !! they always gave him wrong advices...Ultimately Karna suffered his fate.
its clear that Karna was powerful than any warrior in Pandava.
God bless you! in every thread you want to start the same topic. .WHY i don't know..When this is the topic about who was the strongest kaurava then WHY are you trying to bring in arjun v/s karna again and again??? enuf of this discussion frm my side 🥱

because i am a huge of karna....
anyway..you said tell the story of nagastra...i read somewhere...that arjuna and krishna were in the forest and then the lord agni comes, requests them to help him in consuming medicine..he said it not able to do that because lord indra bring rains and his fire blows off.....thus arjuna received Gandiva...when lord fire was consuming medicine in the forest, the mother of snake Takshak was burnt alive... Takshak is a son of a divine snake sitting around lord shiva's neck......takshak met karna and gave him nagastra because he wanted karna to kill arjuna....
someone correct me if I am saying something wrong...i read it in internet...😕

Obviously Bhishma; Shri Krishna himself said that Bhishma was the strongest warrior on the Kauravas' side, and while Drona and Karna stood, it was possible to win the war, while Bhishma stood, it was not.
