Sakshi Tanwar is all set to act in Ekta Kapoor's new film C Company. A comedy, the film will have Sakshi playing her on-screen character Parvati, with her trademark Parvati-look in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. The film is being directed by Sachin Yardi (who had earlier written Kya Kool Hain Hum and Traffic Signal) and stars Tusshar Kapoor and Raima Sen in the main lead. The film also has Mahesh Bhatt playing a chat-show host. The comic caper will revolve around three characters and it will wrap up soon, ready for release in 2008.

Ekta Kapoor confirms that her favourite bahu will be playing herself, she says, "Yes, Sakshi is playing Parvati in the film."

Brother Tusshar Kapoor is a bit more forthcoming. He says, "The film is a funny take on television serials and Sakshi will be playing herself in the film. There is a situation in the film where Sakshi's character, Parvati, is about to come to an end in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and suddenly an underworld don comes and rescues her."

Says a source, "Sakshi is taking her small screen image to the big screen as well. Ekta didn't have to look outside for someone to play a bahu in the film. She will be seen playing the docile, yet strong-willed bahu, with her Parvati look."

Even after several calls and text messages, Sakshi and Sachin Yardi remained unavailable for comments.
