Previously on Vansh Katha – Grand Finale Part II
Poornima gets obsessed with killing Vansh. Devyani goes to Goa to follow a lead and she summons Vansh and Tariksha there as well. Shastra learns about the trip through Vansh's secretary and informs Poornima who follows them there. In Goa Poornima sees and old woman giving Vansh an envelope which conceals the final bit of proof they need to punish the wrong-doers. Shastra tells Nithika and Manav about Poornima's obsession. Poornima and Vansh come face to face and Poornima shoots Vansh dead.

The Grand Finale Part III
Poornima is shocked at her own actions and watches as Vansh breathes his last. Just then Tariksha and Devyani come rushing into the room and see Vansh on the ground. Tariksha runs to Vansh's side and tries to wake him up and Devyani asks Poornima what she has done. Poornima is in shock and can't speak. Tariksha tries desperately to wake Vansh up but he doesn't wake up. She looks up and screams his name. Devyani takes out her phone and calls the police. When Poornima realizes what she's doing she points the gun at Devyani and asks her to hang up. Devyani does as she's told and then Poornima tells her that everything won't be in vain because she wants the envelope that she came here for. Tariksha is balling her eyes out and Devyani tells Poornima that she is a horrible woman and they never thought she would sink to this level to get away from the consequences of her mistake. Poornima says that she doesn't have time for this fancy talk and asks for the envelope now and once again points the gun in Devyani's direction. Devyani walks over to a shelf and takes out the envelope. She gives it to Poornima who warns them not to call the police before she runs off. Once she is gone Devyani also rushes to Vansh's side and stares at his dead body in disbelief. Meanwhile Poornima gets back in her car with the envelope and drives straight to the airport. She checks in and waits to catch the next flight back to Bangalore.
Back in Bangalore Nithika gets a call from Devyani and she is shocked. She hangs up and tells Manav and Shastra that Vansh is dead. Shastra falls down in shock and Manav doesn't know what to say. Vidhya walks in and having heard all of this she says that she warned Poornima not to do something stupid and now she has done just that. Nithika turns to Vidhya and says that there is no point feeling sorry over anything right now because if anyone of them wanted to actually stop Poornima then they should have done it without letting her run off to Goa like a madwoman. But Nithika also promises that Vansh's death won't go unpunished and that they will all have to pay for Poornima's mistake.
Vidhya calls Gupta and Charith to tell them about what has happened and they are shocked as well. They wonder how all of this happened and Vidhya says that no one knows where Poornima is right now.
Poornima arrives in Bangalore covered in perspiration and walks out of the airport wondering what her next form of action should be. She then goes to a side and tears open the envelope to see what the evidence was that the old woman was talking about. When she opens the envelope however, she is shocked to find that there is nothing inside. She asks herself if she went through all of this trouble for nothing. She rips the envelope into bits and pieces and throws it away. She turns around to leave and at that moment she is surrounded by the police. The Chief Inspector walks up to her and tells her that she is being arrested for the murder of Mr. Vansh Rao. Poornima looks around and finds that now there is no escape. The female officers cuff her and throw her in the police vehicle before driving off.
Sidharth receives news of what has happened and he can't believe it. He says that he is a horrible human being and that's why the Gods didn't even give him a chance to make it up to his son and took him away.
Poornima is in jail awaiting the court case and Nithika comes to visit her. Poornima looks at her and starts crying. Nithika says that crying now won't solve anything because the damage is done and she will have to pay for what she did. Poornima walks over to the bars of the cell and asks Nithika if she can't see that all of this was done for her and the rest of the family. Nithika reminds Poornima that Vansh was also a part of that same family but Poornima never wanted to accept the fact. Poornima says that he was the result of Sidharth's unfaithfulness and Nithika tells Poornima that that's not true because Sidharth was in Anuradha's life long before Poornima came along. Nithika tells her mother not to look for excuses to cover up her mistakes because now nothing is going to help her. She says that while Charith is going to fight the case for her, Manav will be fighting against her. Nithika walks away leaving Poornima absolutely distraught.
At the Patel mansion Kaveri is staring out a window and wondering what will happen next. She then asks herself how all of this happened. At that moment Bindiya walks in and tells her that she is as responsible for what happened as much as Charith is. Kaveri asks Bindiya how she can put the blame on her. Bindiya says that as a wife she should have been responsible enough and known to stop her husband from doing the wrong thing. She goes on to say that all Kaveri thought of was her own family and that is not wrong but only as long as she doesn't hurt anyone else's family in the process. Bindiya goes on to say that their family is in such a weak state today because of what they did to Anuradha's family years ago and now Dharm and Manav have to pay the price of their parents' mistakes by going against them and going against each other.
The court case begins and Charith starts speaking. He says that his client Poornima Singhania has been accused of murder but in truth, there was a gun shot that was fired and two witnesses walked into a room where Vansh Rao was dead and Poornima happened to be in the room. Charith says that while this proves that Poornima was there at the time of the murder this doesn't prove that she herself was the killer. He says that someone could have easily walked in, killed Vansh and run out leaving the murder weapon behind in time for Poornima to walk in. He says that right now this is a possibility but he will prove that it is a reality as the case progresses.
Manav then gets up to talk and says that the two witnesses ran into the room seconds after the gunshot and even if someone else did shoot Vansh Rao then Poornima Singhania should have at least seen who it was. But according to her own statement there was no one else there. He says that he would like to call Mrs. Poornima Singhania to the witness stand for questioning and the judge gives him permission.
Manav: So Mrs. Poornima Singhania, that is your name right?
Poornima: It is.
Manav: Why did you go all the way to Goa to see Vansh when you knew that he would be coming back?
Poornima: I needed to speak with him on something urgent and I didn't know when he was going to come back.
Manav: Is that right? Isn't it true Mrs. Singhania that you were following Vansh?
Poornima: I did follow him but only because I wanted to talk to him.
Manav: Why did you want to talk to him?
Poornima: It was a family matter. Vansh was my husband's son from another woman and there were issues that we needed to sort out.
Manav: And you couldn't sort them out here in Bangalore, you had to go all the way to Goa?
Poornima: I just felt we would talk better if no one else was around.
Manav: Isn't it true Mrs. Singhania that Vansh asked you how you got into the house? Does this not mean that you broke into his house?
Poornima: The door was open and… wait a minute, how did you know that Vansh asked me that? No one else was there at that time other than me and Vansh!
Manav: That's exactly what I wanted to hear! Your honor the defense lawyer wants you to believe that there was a third party present in the room Vansh Rao was murdered and he plans to base his entire case on this statement, but now by Mrs. Poornima Singhania's own statement, there was no one else present in the room at that time. So now I ask you Mrs. Singhania, if there was no one else in the room and if you were the only one there besides Vansh, then who killed him?
Poornima: I DON'T KNOW!
Manav: Is it true that you were talking about an envelope that contained vital evidence against you when you shot Vansh?
Charith: Objection my lord, we haven't established that my client shot Vansh Rao.
Judge: Sustained.
Manav: Let me rephrase that. Didn't you go to Vansh's room to talk to him about an envelope that contained vital evidence against you?
Poornima: I… Uh…
Manav: Come on Mrs. Singhania, if you didn't kill Vansh Rao then someone else did and we won't find out who that someone is unless you tell us what was in that envelope.
Poornima: Nothing! There was nothing in the envelope when I opened it!!!
Manav: So then may I ask what you expected would be there?
Poornima: I don't know! Some old woman gave it to Vansh and said that it had evidence against me and Vidhya Bhabi and Gupta ji and Charith Patel and my husband Sidharth Singhania!!!
Manav: Oh really? What sort of evidence? And why the five of you?
Poornima: Because years ago the five of us were responsible for imprisoning Vansh Rao's mother – Anuradha Rao!!! We framed her for the murder of Shlok Singhania and Vansh wanted revenge on all of us and…
Suddenly Poornima realized what she had said. She went extremely quiet and the court room was in uproar. The judges ordered everyone to remain silent. Manav then spoke again.
Manav: Your honor, I would like to call another important witness to the stand. One who will shed light on this entire case and give the real explanation hidden behind this entire mystery.
Judge: You have the court's permission.
Manav: Thank you your honor. The Prosecution calls… Mr. Vansh Rao!
