If she is coming under Sonu and Pranay's influence, then it is really sad. But the fact is she did bring up Pranay so she does have mother's heart and will take his side (I really hope she does not). Sonu just disgusts me. I would love if she would shut up and stop interfering (or acting like a mother)

Shruti just want to be against Parvati.... first she misbehaved with Parvati because Parvati told her not to exchange a daughter with son😡 and that time shruti... was giving same sick statements that she has to do whatever her husband wishes for.... that proved that she was a weak woman at time

and now she is doing it again.... giving the same statements that a husband can do and wish for anything he likes from his wife...

I must say she thinks a woman as only a husband's wish list... and that's it🤢

Well, what's the betting, that if the viewers say the case should go to court, that they will show that Shruti has been acting in front of Pranay all along? And if, by some shock result, people vote AGAINST going to court, they will continue with the way things are? IMO, Shruti will continue along this vein till at least Weds's episode, after which Ekta will decide where to take the story...

The only thing that I can say about the episode is that the numerous references to Ram, and of course irritating Chaya coming back (Love Rinku though!) means that Om/Kiran is set to make an appearance very soon 😳 Wonder whether it will be in the midst of this rape track?

and nothing personal but I hate Shruti😡 and no she is not faking it... whatever she is saying, she actually believes in it... and she believes that there is nothing like RAPE in husband-wife relationship.... 🤢

to was a new low for pranay....it was sickening the way he was bragging bout wat he did in front of adi. i just hope now adi, paro n hopefully shruti destroy pranay...can't wait for the day when pranay is punished.

@somia - actually, I hate Devki. I am perfectly capable of hating a character played by an actor I like - so that's not the reason why I like Shruti. I don't know whether you've seen Kahaani from the beginning; if you had, you would know that Shruti IS a good person, even if she doesn't act like it at the best of times. I like Shruti because she is a realistic portrayal of a human being - strong, kind, good but also selfish, stubborn and sometimes too arrogant. It's human to have flaws, and that's why I like her. I've liked Shruti the character long before Tina started playing her. I may not support what Shruti is doing right now, and I can see that she is wrong. But that doesn't mean that I am blind to her faults/or she is completely evil, because that's just not true 😛

Pranay has to be one of the biggest losers I've ever come across on any soap. If Shruti isn't faking her support, then she is almost as pathetic as him...and so is Sonu. I fail to understand how these women can expect Maithili to stay with Pranay after what happened.

You guys have basically said everything I wanted to say on the subject of Maithili's rape...but there's one thing that keeps bothering me...

Everyone keeps mentioning what an "adarsh beta" Pranay is, and that he was sent overseas for higher studies. Didn't he learn anything about sexism? Didn't he learn that it is wrong to discriminate against someone based on their gender? It doesn't make sense for someone like him to be calling his wife a "jooti" and justifying his own behaviour on the basis of being a man!

None of the Aggarwals seem to think that women are inferior to men. From whom did Pranay learn to spout such crap? I'm sure nobody encouraged him to hate women when he was abroad!

Ekta needs to show some logic in her shows!

^Not only that, but here's another mystifying thought - the show took an 18 year leap recently, so let's assume that when the previous gen ended, it was 2007. In that case, if Pranay can spout such disgustingly narrowminded lines in the year 2027 (or thereabouts), you have to pity the state of the world 😕 😆

Sarah, even though Pranay was sent abroad he still has typical mind-set: 'husband owns wife'. I know people who went abroad to do ungergrad/postgrad but when it comes to 'man-woman', they do have typical mind-sets. So Pranay is no different. Plus, pot-leap, Shruti was always ranting about how he should get into business etc. He was given importance as a man.

He doesn't hate women. He just can not tolerate his wife dare to love someone else. And you have given the answer. He is a loser.

Pranay's justification: whenever you commit a mistake or lie, you always try to justify the cause.
