Chapter 31

A: you're soo….

Maithili held her breath, she didn't know what to expect.

A; you're soo…*uggh!!!*

Maithili widened her eyes..

M: what!!!

Adi burst out laughing

M: adi!!!!! Maithili yelled as she pushed him away

A: i..i can't believe you thought I like you!!

Maithili frowned in rage..

M: I hate you!!!!!

Saying so, she threw her brush at him and ran off inside.

She was not happy!!! This was the worst day of her life!!! She sulked and moaned as she dressed in the costume. "why is this frikking zip not pulling up!!!" she yelled frustrated. She hated all this!

"shouting is not going to help…" she heard a manly voice behind her…

she frowned even with her back against him..

"you.." she seethed again…

she turned towards him with utter disgust in her eyes..

"me…" he said advancing towards her, but this time she didn't move back…her steps moved towards him..

"get out Adi!!" she spoke in a firm voice…

A: just came to tell you, we have to start the dance in five minutes…so hurry up!" he said retreating..

Oh how she hated it when he acted as if nothing was wrong...as if nothing had happened..

But if one thing, he was right...yelling was certainly not going to help…she didn't even understand why she was so frustrated…and even if she did, she wouldn't want to look back on it.

She got onto the concrete platform upstairs. Adi stood behind her and held her waist. The music began and Adi and her were lowered from top.

The vocals began and both reached the ground.

Adi glanced over at maithili and was shocked as he saw the back of her silver blouse opening…the zip came down with every step of hers…He had to do something, or before the song ended, maithili would be..

Adi grabbed maithili into his arms, twirled her half way and dipped her to the floor in his arms..

Maithili froze perplexed…he wasn't supposed to do that!! This was not the ending pose!!! She was about to revolt when she felt her stomach lurch…she felt his soft hands pacing her bare back. Her grip round his collar tightened as she shut her eyes. She felt his lips sink to her neck and brush past. She slowly realized what he was doing…his fingers caught onto the zip of her blouse and slowly pulled it up. She smiled faintly looking at his eyes

A: keep it natural…

He whispered in her ear

A: no one will know it ever happened…

Maithili smiled and nodded. The zip now fully closed, Adi and maithili got up from their position and stood up. The cheering of crowds, made them laugh and enjoy so much, that they didn't even notice adi's hand still clinging to maithili's waist and maithili's arm round Adi. They went inside and quietly sat in the green room. The judges were deciding who had won… "and the winner of this competition is…ADI and MAITHILI from JD college…

Applause and laughter were heard as Adi and Maithili came on stage to receive the award. Both equally excited, they hugged each other on stage and took the award.

Maithili squealed in excitement as she rang up her house..

M: mamma!!! I won I won!!! I won the competition!!!

S: wow beta!! That's excellent news!!!

Shruti put the phone down and turned to Prem..

S: prem, maithili and adi won the competition!! How great is that!!

P: Shruti…

Prem said in an angry tone of voice..

S: kya hua prem…shruti questioned him worried
