The cop turns around and Janki sees Ashu. She is choked with emotion, but Ashu shows no signs of surprise. He tells her that she has the same face that used to be the truth for him; but why is she here? JD mutters that coming here today has given her something no one can understand. Ashu asks her what she means; JD says that she knows that he will listen to her, Mr...?
He shows her a nameplate - Ashutosh P(arvati) Mehra (ROFL!😆😆 sorry, that still sounds just so hilarious😆😆); he says that his mother's name is linked with his. He says that if Sameer is innocent, then he will be freed anyway, but his past record does not help him - he was involved in some fraud case (thank God someone remembers!). JD says that SS is innocent, and Ashu says that this is a matter for the court to decide. He dismisses her, but not before he tells her that he is watching her very carefully.
JD remembers scenes with Ashu as she leaves. Once she leaves, Suyash (who was sitting in his car) wonders what happened inside. He goes in. He talks to Ashu (whose back is turned away) about why JD left in such a state. Ashu turns around and Suyash is shocked (not really that shocked, considering he's been missing 18 years) to see him. Ashu reminds him that his name is CBI Officer Ashutosh. He says that the Ashu he knows died the same day his Parvati mama was sent to jail in a false case. Suyash tells him that he is really happy to see him, but Ashu is having none of it; he says that Suyash has a habit of hugging someone to attack them. When Paro was accused of Om Agarwal and Krishna's murders, where was he [Suyash]? (you know, technically, if you consider Paro your mama, you should consider Om your dad too, esp. since you obviously don't consider Suyash your dad now). Ashu says that S knew Parvati could not do this, but he still did not help her. Suyash tells him to be quiet, and Ashu says that staying silent is Suyash's forte, not his. He says that the day he lost his mother, Suyash lost his son. He tells him that for the last 18 years, he was running - from himself; but he was not able to forget his mama, asking him why he left her. And all this happened because of Suyash - when he found out that Parvati mama committed suicide....he breaks down (hmm, doesn't look like he knows about Janki). He repeats his "parvati-mama, beta loss" dialogue. He tells him to leave.
Pragati and Tanu are talking about Sameer - Tannu is sure that he is the criminal: he looks shifty (darling, he is your father, in that case - you are tedhi too😆😆). Gunn tells Tannu to stop talking. Tannu says that even though they always lived in the same house, yet Sameer never even looked at them properly once; never asked them if they were ok; he always insulted them (too right girly). Gunn says that whatever he is like, he is still a member of this house and in his bad time they should support him. Tannu refuses and leaves. Gunn thinks that Tannu is rejecting her own blood. When she finds out, what will happen? (I find this so weird - the whole point of the baby swap was that nobody should find out, right? Yet everyone is always waiting for the day when the truth comes out. If its that inevitable, don't lie!!😕).
Sameer is in his cell, wondering what deeds God is punishing him for (want a list?😡). The hawaldaar comes and says that he has been bailed by JD's lawyer.
Shruti is coming downstairs with a suitcase when JD comes in. Shruti tells her that unlike her family members, she is neither scared of JD nor does she care about her. She again blames everything on JD (lol, I wanna see the look on her face when Sameer tells her that JD bailed him out😆😆). Shruti says that she is leaving this house. JD tells her not to call her JD - she is here as Parvati, call her that. Shruti says that neither is JD her mom, neither was Parvati (🤢) - she does not have a mother (well, not if you keep this up, you won't😡). JD sighs and says that she pities the woman (Parvati) who raised a stubborn and ill-mannered girl her entire life (😆😆); if Parvati can hear her, she must be so upset. Shruti says that even if she was her mother, after what she has done, she would never forgive her. She hates this face. JD says that she really hates that mother who raised her. Shruti says that she is her father's daughter, only his. JD laughs and says that this is why, in such a big house, there is not one picture of her father (HA!! You go JD!!👏👏👏 Answer that, Shruti!). This has obviously touched a nerve with Shruti, but she says that she does not need a photo to remember her father (funny, haven't seen you remembering him at all lately, photo or no photo). Shruti says that her father is in her heart all the time. JD is internally happy for this. Shruti leaves, and knocks her arm against the chair. She screams out "Mama" (you mean the mama that you DON'T have?). On reflex, JD turns around and tells her to be careful. She starts telling her off like Parvati would and then stops. Both she and Shruti stare at each other. A flashback of a v. similar scene plays. It's a very cute scene. Parvati tells her (in flashback) that she must make sure that she walks on the right path (figuratively).
JD and Shruti are still staring at each other when JD spots Kundan. She starts telling him to be careful, as if that was what she was going to say all along. Shruti is about to leave when Sameer comes home. Sameer tells Shruti that JD is the one who bailed him. (See, THAT'S the look I wanted to see😆😆). SS gets all huffy and tells Shruti to stop her pointless zidd and stay (all right, calm down - she was just worried about you, not that you deserve it🤢). He practically drags her back in.
Maasi and Suyash are talking about Ashu (these two certainly seem to spend a lot of time talking - wonder what they say to Rajo and Janki respectively😆😆). Suyash laments that Ashu hates him now; Maasi asks why he didn't tell him the truth. Mr. Devdas sprouts his usual dialogue of Parvati's maksad and his happiness from that, blah blah blah.
JD tells Kamal that Ashu is back. Kamal is happy. JD says that happiness does not like her - after 18 years, she could not hug Ashu or tell him how much she missed him. She says that she is JD; Shruti already hates her so much, what if, in being JD, she loses the love of all her children? What kind of insaaf is this that happens after she loses her family? (Correction Janki - your family lost YOU - because they were too weak and stupid to stand up to Trishna; your insaaf is important not only for Om and Krishna, but for YOURSELF. If you can't respect yourself, don't expect others to). She hates Trishna, but she loves her children much more. She wants her children and their love back. She breaks down. Kamal says that no matter how much everyone hates JD, when the truth comes out...these very kids (he says it with so much bitterness, which they deserve!) will fall at her feet and cry. The kids who are today pointing fingers at her, when they find out the truth, and are asked where God is, they will reply that she is here - right in front of them. JD has waited 18 years, now they are too close to break down.

Comments: A power-packed episode today - truly one of the better ones. Ashu is back but for some reason he makes me laugh - he does not look like the sophisticated, suave police officer he is trying to portray😆but that scene with him and Suyash was wonderful - really nice.
Shruti - uggh, let's not even go there. Just one thing though, no matter how much she says she hates Paro, the first word on her lips will always be mama. And I loved the bit where she spoke about Om being in her heart.
Today's Top Players: Ashu and Suyash's scene was good. I LOVED Janki and Shruti's entire scene, no matter the content (SO glad Tina's back!); Tannu for being really kickass and saying what we were all thinking; Kamal and Janki's scene at the end moved me to tears😭😆. I especially loved the bit when he pointed with disdain at "these kids" and promised that they would fall at her feet when they found out the truth.
