Confused about Gayatri

I started watching kggk after long gap I am confused about this character Gayatri! Is she Shruti's real sister ?If so how come she got pregnant from her sisters husband?Can anybody please clear my confusion.Sorry for the trouble but very eager to know the answers!!

actually G is the biological daughter of parvati and S is the bioligical daughter of gayatri's mother, they got exchanged during birth when a riot broke out near their birth place this got revealed a few months back

Shruti's hubby sameer was previously engaged to gayatri but developed feelings for shruti before they Sameer and gayatri got married moreover gayatri was replaced by shruti in th wedding mandap as she had been to her rival group to save her politician dad's honour..when this fact of replacement was revealed sameer and gayatri got divorced and sameer married shruti but till then the damage was done

yeah, so shruti and gayatri aren't actually related at all...of course, in ekta land they would be called sisters...

but is it just me or when they went to the gurdwara to find out about the whole situation, the granthiji said that MAYBE the babies had been exchanged but he wasn't sure...so to me it seemed like they just accepted the fact that the girls had been exchanged...

no but the reason they accepted was because shruti had some medical problem which shud run in hte family but no one from om family had it and thats when the whole thing kicked off. i think that story line was too silly to be real
