I just read the star plus india.com and it says the following:

Pallavi
Daughter of Babuji's business rival, Pallavi is engaged to Ajay, but agrees to marry Kamal to save her father's honour, when Ajay walks out on the wedding. She also swears to avenge the humiliation she has been subjected to, by wreaking havoc on the Agrawal family.

Ajay
The first child of Maa and Babuji, Ajay fulfils his father's dreams by becoming a lawyer. The family hopes to see him married to Pallavi, the daughter of Babuji's business rival. But Ajay is attracted to Avantika, his boss' daughter. His boss hands him an ultimatum - marry Avantika and become an independent lawyer, or marry Pallavi and doom his career. Ajay walks out on his family and Pallavi - and therefore, triggers off the chain of events that seem set to destroy peace and happiness in the Agrawal family.



Kamal
A school dropout with a heart of gold, Kamal steps in to marry Pallavi when Ajay walks out on her and the family. He is labelled a dimwit, but he comes to the rescues of the family and often supports it. Kamal is also intensely unhappy in his marriage, since his wife does not love him.

Pallavi invites her family for the naamkaran of her son. And she says that on this occasion she wants to gift something very unique to her family. She says that her father will know somebody who can arrange the gift. Kamal overhears the last line and thinks that Pallavi will leak all the business secrets to her father.

Everybody in the family is talking about the namkaran of Kamal's kid. Avantika and Parvati are dressing the kid while Pallavi is at the office. Yash is behind Khushi all the time wanting to say something but somebody or the other is disturbing them and he is not able to talk to her. The naamkaran happens and Khushi names the child Krishna. All the while Pallavi is at the office looking for something.

It also gives the whole story about Nivedita who was working in the company and was in love with kamal - she never married kamal because Pallavi did not give him a devorce.

We all know recently she unwillingly signed the devorce papers.
