Concluding from the photos posted by Veena Sickand on Instagram,the story forward is surely a memory loss.

Sonakshi doesn't remember Rohit. But Suman and Pari will speak ill of the entire Sippy family and tell her how badly they have treated her. She'd have to go ahead with whatever her mom says coz she doesn't remember Rohit or the love they shared, but Rohit ko dekhkar use kuch "ehsaas" hote hai. She'll feel for Rohit despite whatever her mother and sister have to say.

Rohit will become estranged from his mother and family even while living in the same house. He'd take to drinking and not work as a doctor properly anymore. He only wants to be around Sonakshi maybe ? But as usual for the TRPs they'll only end up having nok jhoks like the initial phase of falling in love.
