Thappad..!!

Hello everyone, just saw trailer of upcoming Bollywood movie named - "Thappad- bas itni si baat?"

In short want to discuss it, the story is about a couple who love each other but an incident happens and unknowingly the husband hits his wife infront of all to which she decides to divorce him as she thinks that it is the question of her self respect.

Now let's think this in reference with Ronakshi. In today's episode we all saw how Rohit humiliated Sonakshi infront of media. Not only Rohit, but whole Sippy family is targeting Sona and is behaving like an outsider with her. Isn't it a kind of rude and harsh behavior which is intolerable? In this case what should Sona do? Yes I agree that Rohit is under misunderstanding and is behaving like this due to anger. But is it tolerable for a wife? He didn't do any kind of physical violence like hitting his wife, but whatever he is doing is a mental torture, isn't it? Sona can take a step to this. If she really care about her self respect, she should stay away from Sippys atleast for sometime. No matter what, the very first thing above every relationship is self respect. The CVs are showing a bit of " bechari" behavior of Sona. She is today's woman who has to respect herself no matter what.

I watched the trailer and I remembered a woman I worked with in an organization who told me exactly the same last line in the trailer. Also the line woman wants love AND respect!!! One should come at the cost of another ... it’s not an either or situation

we can come up with whatever reasons and justification about this show lekin the fact is that time and again the FL in this show has been treated with no respect so much that in the name of “love” she loses her self respect

Anyways I also realize we are expecting too much from an ITV show which is frankly quite regressive in its story plot lines and tracks. These are good actors with terrible writing

Honestly, Sona is letting others get into her personal space just like she wants to get into other's. For others to respect her space, she must start defining one for herself and respect other's. If she's going to do anything to please others, she's getting into a black hole where she starts justifying her illogical actions or even forgive other's rude behavior for the sake of "love".

It's a two way street.

Key word here is Self Respect.... And sona had lost it all be herself. Since it involves ones self one need to defend it. When you make life altering decision to please someone (even if they insist) you loose your self respect and in my opinion Sona lost hers on the day she signed the prenaup paper. Now she is on mission to help the people who loves her to lose theirs 😡

So like one person said above from what all she is taking from others in the name of love!! she doesn't look like a poor girl to me rather looks more like a doormat!!

Instead of focusing why she is being treated this way the question should be why is she letting herself down by allowing others to disrespect her.

Till now she only fights ROHIT fair and square when it comes to her so called (not existent) self respect.

Should she leave sippy mission?? Sooner the better for her & everyone else also if you ask me. Because Sona will find another lost cause to help with to feel better about herself and in the process loses her self respect too..

Reading about all the spoilers about ronakshi we are getting we all might to proved a fools for trusting ITV to come up with a sane and progressive show.

So pls understand this is my view point about Sona esp when it comes to her self respect.. She failed miserably in that.. And I believe it's not only because she married Rohit....

End of the day we teach others how to treat ourselves not the other way around.. What they are showing via Sona is utter BS and so regressive..

The writers are not able to visualize a strong female - be it the main character or side characters. All I see is they have to rely on dialogues for her to tell everyone that she's good, she's strong.

On top of that naren getting sympathy from his wife and she ignoring son ..what the fxuck ..for hiding she ignoring son ..for perpetrator naren ..she is supporting .

So EMA is ok with men if they get back eventually to wife .that's what this show means 😡

I am agree with all your points except Prenup. In this show, Rohan didn't get thappad from any body. That is irritating me. Tanya is behaving normal with him. Actually Veena has to be angry with Naren, but here she is normal with Naren and ulta she is angry with Rohit for not telling truth to her. I don't know what makers are trying to convey audience by all these scenes. I am really disappointed with the way they are showing all these things normally like nothing wrong happened.

Just saw the trailer. Every dialogue is brilliant. Never seen a trailer that impressive, in terms of dialogue especially
