When KHKT Started, the thing that wowed me the most was how RELATABLE Sonakshi & Rohit's character were when compared to most of ITV's Female & Male leads. Especially Sona because ITV has a tendency to make FL that are anything but real... they put them on a pedestal and make it unrealistic - It's what we call these days as 'Mahan' but they didn't exactly do that with Sona's character. Even during whole Mhatre Track she was not entirely being Mahan - she was safeguarding a young woman's image.
But slowly slowly I feel the makers-writers are stripping Sonakshi off what made her really stand out. Don't get me wrong she is still one of the best FL Character's we have today but she's conforming to other people's idea of perfect- changing for other's acceptance. WHY ?
I don't know whether the news about she quitting her acting profession (Temp Or Permanently) is true or not. But if she does - I absolutely absolutely ABHOR the fact that she is doing it for the sake of somebody who never respected her or her profession.
Sonakshi is a newly wed bride -and so I get that she DOES not want to be the reason for any kind of mayhem in the Sippy Mansion. But for someone who claims that her profession is her identity it is what made her who she is - quitting for someone like Naren, for his tantrums is PLAIN HORRIBLE
If this is what it had to come down to then why did she have to shut up Naren's friend Pradeep with such big big words? Why isn't she sticking by them especially when her biggest champions are her Husband and Mother? You can fight the world with these two people - anyone can; so IF at all Sonakshi decides to Quit she's going to look like one of those hypocrites.
I hope that she doesn't quit....God I hope the big decision is about something else. Sigh!
