Amy, I am Mili. I hope I can write my thoughts here.
You are absolutely right. I echo the same thoughts, I am very impressed with how the doctor/surgeon and now a tactful husband had been showcased yesterdayđđź.
Even though I find it hard to believe that a 29 yr old woman didn't feel that what she had done was a grave blunder before she had done it ( I am talking about having her dupe sit in for her ), I will sweep that under the rug for now. I am going to forgive her because of what she had gone through and how she has now realized her blunderđł.
But what the good doctor had done is phenomenal. He kept his cool, he tried to make his mom see his biwi's view point and vice versa. He didn't take anybody's side. He understood both of them and served as a bridge between themđđź. Isn't this not what we all want? Realistically speaking, I don't think most of us want our husbands/partners to put their mothers on the spot and grill them in front of us, for us to enjoy the oneupmanship. We want them to be given a space to save face. And vice versa when it comes to us. I can't speak for others, most of the time I don't even want him to confront his mother ( as sometimes the older women can get very offended even if the son brings this up ), but to acknowledge the mother's wrong doing/ slight or mistake with me. I am happy with that usually. That lets him still have his relationship with his mother, untarnished. At the same time gives me a feeling of getting implicit support.
Ditto, I hope all guys learn to treat their most important girls like this. Kudos to the writer for helping people see things in a new lightđ. Much warranted for today's generationđđźI hope the writer deals with tricky situations such as these in the future and show practical and amicable resolution of those situations. We can all learn a thing or two!
Liked Veena and Suman too. Loved that Veena got everything she felt out in the open. That Raima is a stupid character. Why is she running from Rohit, Sona and hugging Sumit for protection? Is she 2 ? Where are her mom and her friends who didn't leave her 24 x7 for 4 years while she was comatose, now disappeared into thin air ? đ˛Suddenly, she is homeless and has to be cajoled to grace her presence in Sumit's home? How did the slick, sleazy Sumit turn into a docile, understanding Sumit?
Please, that orange/cheap red is jarring to the eyes, especially Sona's outfit with a cheap, glittery ghunghat/chunri or whatever that horrendous contraption is đđźEverybody else got such classy, purple and maroon clothes. Why did she get THAT?đEven Rohit's outfit looked OK, of course not fit for a groom, but you know what I mean, pastel and pleasing to the eyesđł. What has Sona done to deserve that horrible cheap bling?đ¤˘
Have a good day !
