Raima...!!!

Raima's character traits till now without speculating on future shades:

Plus points:

- good at heart, went out of her way to stop an unknown girl from marrying the two timing cheater guy.

-fighter, punches above her weight, be it hitting Karan with a bat or pulling out of a 4 year coma.

-knows her BF inside out, didn't take her long to understand that Rohit has moved on & he is not the same though he tried to pretend everything was the same.

-big hearted, once she came out of her shock of Ronakshi truth, she stepped back & gave them her blessings. She didn't turn into a scheming vamp. She genuinely wants Sona to move forward without feeling guilty about taking away Rohit from her.

Minus points:

- Girlish, 4 years of such horrible experiences have done nothing to her maturity level, still the same as Rohit described, ziddi, cute & pagal.

-foolish, she doesn't understand that she is being the spare wheel & invading the privacy of Ronakshi.

For now I cant think of anything more.

Basically her +es outweigh her -es, but still why dont we feel sorry for her, empathise with her unfortunate situation or applaud her sacrifice. Are we missing the forest for the trees, i.e, missing her good character just because she is a kebab main haddi in the potential Ronakshi moments?

Agreed with most of what you have posted . But like I have said before, Raima's character can be turned likeable if portrayed and written well . I honestly feel Farnaz can do better than her current performance. Not bashing her , just stating my honest opinion. I am all in for an ex flame who isn't a vamp but there is a very fine line between being cute and bubby and being irritating and OTT. After all she isn't a kid but a mature 32 years old woman. Also, the writers need to buckle up with their writing of Raima if they plan to make her permanent.

^I too think that the actor playing her is not a good choice or she should try to improve her performance. But as a character we have been biased against Raima even before we knew who is going to play the role. We expected some big dhamaka when Raima comes out of coma but the track fell flat, Ronakshi united so easily & so its like we are expecting to see a ghost jump out at every dark nook, we are waiting for Raima to turn black/grey & overanalysing her every move. It is as much the fan's fault for reading too much between the lines when there are no lines to be read, at least till now.

Every character takes the story forward. It depends on the story teller's talent to make sure we relate with each of them .... in this show we can understand the way each of the characters think, even side characters like Deepa, Rohan, Aijt, Pulkit, Pari, YK, Veena, Suman are well written ... Raima's characterization has been quite loose ... really unfortunate that inspite of playing an important role they don't have a gripping story for her ... as of now it looks like they just wanted two more people in Sippy mansion - so they brought YK's mom and Raima

Raima looks stoned to me. Period.

That character is too unrealistic. I might have accepted it considering this is ITV. But they keep chanting in the show--'reality me aise hi hota hai, this is not a TV serial blah blah.'

Rohit needed 4 years plus lots of intense moments and caring and loving gestures from Sona to get over Raima.

In Raima's timeline (if you don't count the coma)---- yesterday she was going to meet Rohit's parents for their marriage and the next day that same Rohit is gaga over another girl. Look, I am all up for her accepting this and moving on. But being this much happy and so eager to attend his wedding ????? How is it realistic ? Did she even love Rohit ? Or was it just a whim for her and Rohit's feelings were one sided ?

I am glad she is positive and she has moved on. But the writers should make it believable. Send her to London or make her sing Channa mereyaa hugging her O2 cylinder or something. But this jumping and laughing 24/7 and giggling while reading your ex's love notes----- well that's too much !! Even aliens are more realistic and acceptable than that. Either she's stoned or hatching some cheap plan. My 2 cents are on the later.

Oh mine too! In fact there are subtle signs for us to pick up.

1) Yest she told Sumit she has a plan but they never showed her explaining the plan. Future mein flashback to that moment & ta-da, Raima explaining a revenge plan to Sumit.

2) Yest she was like “main Rohit ki care karoongi” until Suman sensibly put her down. If she was a genuine ex she wld not hv offered that in deference to Sona’s sensitivities. Thanks to the notes they all knew Sona wld be bk in couple hrs so why shd Raima care for him?

3) She made a show of moving out of Rohit’s room into the guest room but did not protest even feebly when pressurised to stay back in Sippy mansion. She doesn’t even attempt a pretence of respecting boundaries or Rohit’s privacy.

4) Yest when Suman did “nazar utharoing” of Rohit the stuff with the bad eye fell on Raima - coz she is the bad eye!

5) The actress playing Raima keeps insisting she is a central character & I don’t see how that can be if she is going to be merely Sumit’s new GF. Central matlab she has to be central to the leads’ story.

6) The scene with Netraji abt oh I don’t know acting may also be a subtle hint - Raima is “acting” like an ex who has gracefully moved on! Oh and the repeated references to she is no vamp!

I feel sure all these cannot be incidental.

Totally agree. And also the way she said I love you to Rohit while reading sona's note and took the rose out of the bag and gave him like a girlfriend. She attempted to do it again today but Rohit resisted.

TM said she's a fighter because she stayed there to fight Karan even when her friend left. I agree. But her monologues in that scene also denoted her revengeful nature. If she could go to that extent ( picking on a guy thrice her size ) because of her unwilling friend's revenge, imagine how much desperate she can get for her own !! Now, In her mind sona was the cause of her coma. When Ronakshi tried to clarify it, she didn't believe sona's words. Nothing else happened to make her believe it. So why did she suddenly turn 180 and became so acceptable of Ronakshi ? I think the moment Rohit said that he completely trusted Sonakshi, Raima made up her mind to take her revenge in some twisted way because her direct antics and emotional blackmail didn't exactly work with Rohit.

And the studio is so much far from the sippy house. She had trouble breathing but still she went there personally to thank Sumit which could have been done through video chat.

If she is neither negative nor stoned then she is definitely bipolar. Rohit as fiancee-->4 yrs coma-->jumping with a knife on wrist--->dancing in fiance's baarat-----no person in right state of mind would act like this.

This is what we have been conditioned to expect from TV shows. I get shez not mourning over Rohit but her overinvolvement isnt normal either.

Agreed in real no one turns to Komolika after breakup. But no one reads ex-bf ki current gf ka letter, gets their shadi news published, and gets into their shadi preps like an enthu cutlet.

It is weird. The character I feel will be changed as per TRP. Trp giri to Raima negative bann jayegi🤣
