What we saw on Friday was LAZY writing ...PURELY LAZY WRITING.
I feel more than lazy, i think it was confused writing. They just wanted to play it safe.
And IMO what they did led to irreparable damage. If they are able to salvage it and properly redeem Rohit's character then well and fine but, if they are going to push it under the rug then they have lost me and I am sure several others as hardcore RoNakshi fans.
Well ab tu hi soch, a few romantic moments accompanied by a few mushy lines will cool every one down and no one will think too much about why what and how of the storyline... I mean i wont deny as upset as i was with the first scene, my heart did melt in the last one, because lets face it, all of us are rooting for RoNakshi.
Like you mentioned Nihu.....If they had got Rohit to maintain the whole "DOCTOR mode or had they got him to be more uncomfortable around Raima or given her the vibe that he was a changed man and not HER ROHIT . It would looked natural ... more real which is what the show has always been about for majority parts.
Well i was pretty clear from the episodes Raima entered the Sippy Mansion, Rohit behaved more like a doctor and less like an excited lover.. I mean if they really wanted to go down that road they would have led the audience to organically believe Raima is important, and hence once she comes Rohit will pick her.. The episodes leading upto her entry Rohit was very clear, he was ready to put his past behind him, he was sure Sonakshi and his relationship was for keeps, he tucked away the watch as a sweet memory. He had really mentally and emotionally decided to move on. All because he thought this girl is perhaps never returning. But when she suddenly did, anyone would be flabbergasted. I give that much to him even up till this point. The creatives clearly made sure he didnt say lines that would suggest he might pick Raima over Sona. Infact, even while he was so upset he called her Sona and not Sonakshi. But then, that scene he tells his family they cant tell Raima the truth about his relationship was a little pissing off, but i still gave him one last chance hoping he was still thinking like a doctor. That episode further cemented my Doctor theory when Rohit decides to leave Raima and go to the hospital despite informing everyone at the office that he will be unavailable. The lesson he gives Pulkit is a valuable. He scores points. But todays opening scene. Tauba Tauba ! that was pure love, and utmost comfort in the arms of a woman that means something to you!!! any woman would feel lead on. Why didnt they instead invest in a scene where they established Raima senses the change in the man she once loved deeply. This is cheating na?
As a show KHKT has always been more relatable and accessible and that has always been the USP of the show. Guy girl love-story is something we have always seen on TV but what makes this show different or unique even ? It's the treatment!!! And that is what I couldn't see in the Friday episode.
So i feel there were more scenes between the raima rohit scene and the sona rohit scene and the same were scrapped out of sheer fear that the audience would not return on a monday if they dared show rohit tilting towards Raima. I mean now looking at the bts segments , Sona will act mahaan and ask rohit to help Raima and dig her own grave. And the man i hope atleast then takes a stand that he doesnt want to have two women in his life. I mean as we discussed earlier, Rohit's father may have cheated on his mother, by the looks of the way he greats the latter. Now he will take stand he wont do what his father did.
I couldn't relate to any aspect expect perhaps Raima.
I couldn't relate to Rohit because he came across as selfish and self-centered more than usual. Jab Rohit pyaar karta hai toh toot kar karta hai toh how come he was oblivious to Sonakshi? How did he disregard her completely ? And why was he indifferent to her? I am not talking about the parts that took place in Sippy Mansion because there I truly truly believe that he was simply being a Doctor BUT after that starting with the Hospital Parking Lot scene his stance was unacceptable and unbelievable. Chalo even here I am ready to give him the benefit of the doubt because its OK to be angry but uske baad se whatever he did it's not the Rohit I have come to know and love.
May be he was still worried and concerned and dazed but what about later? The parking lot scene was just to cement sonakshis doubts further.
I couldn't relate with Sonakshi because she came across as 'Mahan which contradicts what she had told Netra a few episodes earlier. Jab tak she had told Suman that she is not going to explain herself...that if Rohit wishes to hear her side of the truth he knows the address of her home and studio and he can come forward.....tab tak I could relate to her. But her breaking down before him GOSH...She came across as so weak....I would have LOVED LOVED to see she standing up for herself. Rohit should have had to work to get her forgiveness or her back into his life.
she should have just said, im not a ping pong ball. You cant mess around with my head and life like this. You may be confused, but that doesnt mean I will wait for you indefinitely. At the end of the day, she has her own life. She may be madly in love with rohit but that doesnt mean she doesnt have self respect. Being love means to earn respect not compromise on your own self respect.
Like you said had Raima or YK's mom not reminded him would he have remembered Sonakshi ?
Yeah, i mean why didnt it come to him naturally is something that is beyond me as well.
So things shouldn't have been that easy for him...He should have had to work for it.
As long as sona makes it easy, i dont think he will feel the need.
It's sad what one day ka poor writing can do...Filler hi daal detaa toh behtar tha.
i just wish the scene between rohit and raima were a dream in Sona's head, in that case it would have still saved his character. but now whats done is done. God knws what the cvs have on their minds, guess we have no choice but to simply wait and watch.
