Second chance at love

I m in awe of how beautifully they are handling this realisation track. And today, I give a big round of applause to the makers for the text Rohit sent to raima. Generally in ITV, the love story of leads is destined one and hence they falsify every other relationship that comes in its way. We have ample number of shows based on second chance at love. But in each show when the leads realise their second love, they tag the first love as friendship. There r dialogues conveying Main dosti ko pyaar samajh baitha...ab jab isse Mila tab samajh Raha hai k pyaar kya hota hai, Jo tumhare Sath tha wo toh pyaar tha hi nahi. Or there are cases where the ex has turned negative due to some reason, the lead character is full of hatred for ex and then it is said that the love they had for ex was not love at all. No, this is not second chance at love. I don't support this idea!

What they r showing in khkt is second chance at love in its truest sense. Rohit passionately loved raima and then they got separated for 4 years and the feelings of love have slowly vanished and what has remained is friendship. Rohit respected this relationship then, he is respecting that relationship now. He is not falsifying his past love for raima claiming it to be just friendship misunderstood as love. He is accepting that he has fallen in love second time. He still wants raima back, but as a friend. He is moving on from that relationship, he is not moving on from her. Like veena rightly said, Rohit was missing raima's love, not raima herself. He has found that love in sonakshi, he has not found raima. Raima will still be that special friend in his life, however he will not love her.

On the other hand, he met Sona a few months ago, they became friends, best friends, special friends and all those categories of friends and now they are in love. Rohit has realised and accepted those feelings for Sona. But for him, Sona and raima are not replaceable. Sona can't fill the void of raima, nor can raima remove Sona from his heart. Anyways, let's not go there unless we see what they want to show. Ronakshi relationship will grow gradually and Rohit will fall for Sona as passionately as he did for raima, or even more than that. And seeing how much Rohit still respects his relationship with raima, I kind of believe he'll have similar respect for his relationship with Sona too....all it needs is some time to strengthen this bond. Like, we all know ronakshi love is at a very initial stage right now.

The last few episodes since after ganpati visarjan have been thoroughly beautiful for me. The emotional complexities are wonderfully handled. The realisation and moving on process is as real as it can get. That's exactly the way people behave in real life.

Take a bow, makers...for giving "second chance at love" it's true meaning, for giving due respect to the first love, for standing up to my expectations from this realisation and moving on track. And let me warn y'all, u have raised my expectations too much from the upcoming raima track... please don't disappoint. At least let the respect for eachother prevail, if not anything!

You know it's funny but I made a completely opposite post from what you've said. Same show, same story but has several perceptions like yours and mine. That's the beauty of life, I guess.

What a beautiful post ....and i completely agree...whatever the future holds am so happy rohit respected his past before moving on...and in that way he also respected sona...he is very clear where he stands now and it was necessary to let raima know this in whatever way he could...he loved her once but now he got a second chance in life which fortunate people get...he did not wash away his past to accommodate his present....

Raima deserves her own closure and love which she will get..for that she needs to witness rohit with sonakshi and realize the difference and then let go....she is just back to life after 4 years and it is evident that right now she needs all love and care.

And yes i have put faith in Sikcand against my better judgement..hope he does not disappoint😂😂....and his fixation with ancient raaz continues😂😂

Beautiful post. And a very very beautiful scene indeed. I couldn't stop adoring him in that message scene. The way he really wanted her to get well and come back and the way he really wanted to talk to her. It actually felt like he was talking to her through the phone 'I know I know it's crazy' & The way he said 'I fell alive' 💙

And I agree this is the true meaning of second chance at love. And not saying wo wala pyar nai tha ye wala hai. I love how every transition every emotion is handled in such a matured way be the cvs. Giving Raima and their love all the respect it deserves. And not making a mockery of his feelings of four years. This is moving on in true sense when you've moved on with someone else but you also wish well for the person you've left behind.

This is the real emotion. You fall out of love, hota hai. You could fall in love more than once in life.

We really needed this before he actually moved ahead with Sona. M glad he is clear about his feelings

Loved this scene.. And it will remain one of my favorites from this show

Na na...Rohit only had prejudices, I have experience 😂

Rohit never watched TV or had an actor friend. I have seen yhm for 5 long years and what kachra Sikcand made out of this beautiful show. No doubt though that Sikcand deserves credits for its beautiful phase too. I hope he doesn't ruin khkt too in the long run.

I read your post and I understand where u r coming from. After the church night, they should have shown something like Rohit sorting his emotions for raima n understanding it is just his guilt and not love. We viewers can watch and understand it, but there should have been a scene for Rohit to understand this too. He had always told to sonakshi that he doesn't want raima back, he just wants her to get well and say sorry to her. He just wants that his guilt reduces. What happened on her b'day night too was his guilt. He was guilty that he forgot her b'day because he got busy in his new relations. I do not support his blaming Sona but subconsciously that itself was the reason he blamed her... because he is occupied with her now, he forgot raima. In totality, all that Rohit feels for raima is guilt. And when he realised his love for Sona, he also realized that raima is not the one anymore. Indirectly! Hence he is so clear.

And about love to friendship transition, it is after that he has realised that he doesn't love raima anymore but Sona, only relation that is left is friendship. Rohit claims he was a playboy and had girls around him always and raima had proposed him which definitely means she was not his love at first sight. They must have become good friends before and then lovers. Even when u r in a relationship, friendship doesn't die, u r rather best friends of each other. So now, when he knows he doesn't love raima, so only friendship remains.

Well said 👍🏼 about the show as a whole for being handled beautifully I will comment only post Raima track coz its giving me bad vibes at the moment. I loved that scene we are discussing now. Loved how Rohit gave a closure to his past. So far Rohit has been shown to be a fickle minded person. Can't trust what he will do next especially when Raima is back. Are his feelings for Sona absolute or momentary? Only time will tell. But Rohit not realising Sona loves was ridiculous. It was funny true but ridiculous at the same time. He has been through those emotions once already with Raima. How could he not realise? He is not some textbook nerd for crying out loud. He knows the effect he has on females in general. Yet he acts like a total fool
