Did Raima Cheat on Rohit?

Just a theory... I remember reading a spoiler that Raima is the woman Sonakshi’s ex-fiancé cheated on her with, which is why Sonakshi was left heartbroken on Sept 26. Rohit described Raima as restless. I wonder if she did cheat on him. I’m not generalizing nor am I saying that people who are restless and adventurous cheat on their partners (def not true!) but what if that is the case here? She probably dated Rohit in college but eventually lost interest in the relationship. He is close to his family and is a maama’s boy causing her to feel bored and unsatisfied. She doesn’t want to become a part of such a big family. Karan can come off as someone who enjoys thrill and may agree to do irresponsible things Rohit might not be up for (drugs or something illegal). They hook up and get caught by Sonakshi.

Maybe Rohit knows something... some kind of doubt which is why he is so guilty. I mean he’s a doctor not god... but somewhere he wonders if his subconscious mind punished Raima for cheating on him by not giving 100% to the surgery. Which also explains why he gets so upset when he mentions Raima. A part of him wants to pretend she never cheated and they had a perfect relationship while another part of his mind wonders if he was wrong and Raima is paying for his mistake.

So far the show has surprised me in terms of how tracks are handled. It would be nice to see something different instead of Rohit getting angry at Sonakshi because she caused the accident or Raima being a vamp. I hope they show something different! A track where Rohit and Sonakshi work together to move on and heal from the past. Also I really hope they keep Raima a cameo (like Swati in IPKKND EBP).

Anyone else have any ideas or theories?

Love your theory Esha. Thanks for the link in the DDT.

'Raima being restless' somehow took me on the same train of thought as yours.

Rohit had said in the initial epis that he considers love happens only once in a lifetime. But I have a strong hunch that that wasn't the case with Raima. She probably just considered it a 'college romance'.

And if she has indeed cheated on Rohit, her character would really fall in my eyes and it would really be better then if it goes IPK EBP way.

But ek cheez mujhe feel hui considering Rohit's talks was that he was in love but wasn't compatible with Raima.

Anytime and thank you! Yeah it randomly came to me after watching the episode yesterday. I absolutely agree that she considers it a college romance and maybe didn’t want to cheat on him at first but eventually got bored of their relationship. I rather they show she cheated and is over Rohit instead of making her an obsessive vamp (yuck!)

And yeah I felt similarly. They def weren’t compatible and I feel like both of them knew that. Raima maybe chose to face that issue and move on from Rohit while he decided to overlook it because he loved her. Either way, I feel like once Rohit is released from his guilt, he will be able to think clearly.

Another interesting point is that Rohit said he grew out of his wild ways once he met Raima. I’m guessing she fell for his wild side but once he changed (in an effort to show her that he loves her and wants to build a life with her), she probably realized he wasn’t meant for her. I feel like both are opposites in terms of fundamental views, morals, etc... But Rohit and Sonakshi are two people who share very similar fundamental core beliefs but have different choices, likes, etc... which is why they connect.

You said it! Completely agreed. Many times people have taken the opposites attract theory to a whole new different level and an ideal aspect for a couple. They do surely attract but last long only if they have some core beliefs in common. I'd rather want the couple to complement each other than be polar points.

In IB, it was said, you should have takkar ki ishqbaazi for the love to last long😆
