Like Mehr said, If Anubhav thinks he has been kidnapped by terrorists, his urge to free himself may not be as urgent given his current state of mind. But if Anubhav knows it's Ronnie's men he will stop at nothing to save his Gungun.
Also, I think it's actually Ronnie's plan because if they were real terrorists, why would they call up Gungun to inform her about Anubhav's kidnapping? Ronnie has a reason.
