Sure. I wasn't talking from his perspective. I know, why he entertains Netra. I was talking from a third party perspective.
As someone who is watching this trio from afar, I do feel that Shashank's silence has been leading Netra on. Certain things need to be voiced out aloud for people to hear regardless of if it makes a difference or not. Like Netra wouldn't have given a damn even if he had confronted her but I did feel that Shashank should have done his bit.
I agree he needs to flat out tell her that he is not interested in her (although I think he did somewhat imply it but she could think it was due to the fact that he was getting married but she knew of the 1 year deal so that didn’t help him)
He needs to tell her that even if Appu leaves after the 1 year is over, he will not marry her regardless!
This needs to be done and I hope it is soon
In response to this all I can say is that perhaps due to her psychological condition, he thinks it best to just ignore her and they do their work as colleagues. I understand when you say he is leading her on (because he hasn’t flat out said that he doesn’t have feelings for her or that he won’t marry her even after a year) but he never confirmed to her that he has feelings for her or has done anything to make her feel that. When she was in his house, he made it clear multiple times that she’s taking care of her as a patient alone and because she got hurt at his house. He also made it clear that he thought she was Apurva when he moved her hair from her face since she was wearing Apurva’s clothes. HC, being delusional, just justified it to herself internally that nope that’s not the case. She can’t accept it regardless and so I think even if he flat out tells her she will not accept it regardless.
