Things that Akriti has done:

Been rude to her mom

Slapped Gungun

Proposed to Anubhav and then continued to harass/ pester him to reciprocate her feelings

Plotted with Maya (though here all she did was lie about her relationship with Anu and gave a few K weak points)

That's it I think (lemme know if there are others)

I have tagged you in my previous post but am quoting this separately as well.

1. Akriti professes her 'love' to the man who is betrothed to her cousin

2. Upon being rejected she self victimises and guilt trips said man

3. She plots to prevent him from going to meet her cousin (who might I repeat is his to be wife) and sets the lab on fire, proceeds to call him (damaging property out of malice, endangering her and Anu's life)

4. Publicly humiliated Gungun and her own mother (even slaps GG)

5. Plots to get the wedding cancelled and facilitates GG's public humiliation

6. Becomes a pretentious b*tch in front of the oh-so sanskaari family but actually played a role in humiliating them

7. Gas lights Anubhav (not excusing Anu's behaviour but still, an example is when she fake falls to give an impression that GG pushed her )

8. Blackmails/threatens her grieving cousin that lost her father 2 hours ago (the kind of things she said were DISGUSTING!)

9. Purposely calls GG to the wedding (when GG did not come) to rub salt on her wounds (thats just petty and mean... but mean none the less)

And yes... none of this is a typical vamp because ITV has groomed us to think only when there are kidnappings and attempted murders is someone a vamp... but in real life this is the kind of vamp you will find. Akriti makes a very negative and sh*tty person who is obsessed and thinks she deserves everything. So defending someone like this is NOT ok. Normalising this is NOT ok.

and you know what the worst part is? she did this all with two main intentions.... 1. hurting GG and 2. Marrying Anubhav. Both of which are out of malice 👎🏼

There is a way to even justify your characters actions. I understand having to understand ones character in order to better act but there is also your own moral compass... Manan had a similar interview where he balanced the understanding and objectivity well.

Absolutely!! Plus, I find when the actor owns up that the character is negative, they can perform better.

Audience will decide if you are grey, white or black!!!
