I have sent a lengthy email to them in hope that they will not only listen but act on keeping 'Kaali' running.
There are many fans here and it would be a shame if Star Plus were to ignore them in favour of fans from the other so called 'top' shows.

It does Minnu, but I really hope it does not.

Sorry Ria, I do have second thoughts about this. I can no longer support a show that has become too cartoonish and shallow.
However, best wishes in your endeavours to salvage it. 👍🏼

If my support can make a tiny difference, then my views should also be taken into consideration by the CVs. I can't see that happening, despite having written several posts about the wretched state of the show.
The show has been destroyed, and it is irreparable. The TPR is a good reflection of the sorry state of Kaali.
It had good potential with Samar, Rajneesh and Sayali and that percentage of fans can grow in time. The current stagnant state is not very encouraging I suppose.

I know what you mean and I am of the same view. But I decided I would write to them anyway rather than keeping silent having grown so use to watching certain characters within the show.
In agreement to this. These particular characters had electric potential and more time may have allowed for further development but the CVs would rather prefer to centralise the show in glorification of some needless stereotype of a character who's entry was unwarranted only for the fact that it brought a fan following, yet his popularity has had no positive effect on the TRPs, in the decision to continue it. Even resorting to the romance formula was not enough to save the show.
It is wasteful on the part of the CVs not to have addressed the creativity that this show was in dire need of, it may have contributed to better ratings but CVs chose instead to stick by the repetitive, archetypal modes and methods that Indian TV dramas are so often known to employ.
They began on quite a promising premise which along the line, somehow got out of their control, and so now, the show rots away.

I have emailed too with my suggestions:

I am a big fan of the Channel and many of its programmes. Throughout the years the Channel has brought us, the viewers, many memorable and iconic shows and moments. I understand in the television industry TRPs go a long way in indicating the success and potential longevity of a show and on the whole, I think Star Plus has been good at pulling shows out at the right time.

I think I would be right in saying Kaali- Ek Punar Avatar is not your 'typical' Indian drama/show and, to an extent, has its own niche viewership. The show has very aptly shown the struggles of a mother, a family, to fight for justice. There are lots of rumours circulating that next week (week commencing 4th March) will be Kaali's last week and with the current track and it's progression, I think that is going to be the case.

I unaware of the plans and how the show will potentially be ending. However, I do believe there is a lot of potential to either keep the show going (if Samar goes to jail then we can certainly see/ expect a backlash from Rajan Tyagi) OR, have a season two which keeps the majority of the cast member (Vaani, Dev, Paankhi) but picks another social issue to bring to the forefront. The show doesn't necessarily have to be on 'primetime' as other slots are available i.e. 6.30pm or 11.00pm. If the 'powers to be' were thinking of going down the season 2 route, then showing how the family cope in the aftermath of Samar's incarceration and the issues this may lead to, could be very interesting.

I think the promise of Dev and Paankhi's relationship could be something very exciting to watch as well. Both Arjun and Aneri have done an excellent job of portraying this budding friendship/relationship. One possible avenue to go down could be looking at the nitty gritty of a young girl (Paankhi) who find herself embroiled in a bad crowd, in the aftermath of the Tyagi's case. Events could lead her to the very much maligned modelling and/or drugs world and it would be up to Dev to get her on the straight and narrow.

I hope you would perhaps consider keeping this show going (change timeslot) or to comeback with another season with similar star cast. I believe the show has the potential to be even bigger and better.

Let's wait and see 😊

Deluge of Dev's fans = 0.2
Basically, even with the introduction of Dev, the show only made a fragment of an increase from 0.8 to 1.0.
One need not be mathematically savvy to know that a 0.2 increase, means the show had not increased in mega popularity.
So, the formula has been tested and it has proven to have failed. It has simply failed to increase its viewership.
That is why, we have requested the CVs to concentrate on other characters which were more interesting and their potential for growth.
Viewers were beginning to show an interest in Samar, Rajneesh and Sayali, and given time, there would have been an increase in their fanbase. However, that was not allowed to happen and the show will end next week.

I agree with you dii... I was talking to some people that didn't watch kaali because of ipk... and 4 people said that Sayali attracted them, 3 said Rajneesh and 4 people said Samar... so I don't want to sound like a douche... but Dev ISN'T the only reason the show is running... and by saying that Dev was the reason why the trps increased is a BIG insult to every actor... sure Dev made the trps go up by a small percent but it didn't make a difference that you guys are so much boasting about it! I like AB... I don't like the whole cliche where he is a cop and falls for paankhi... I love Deepak... and this show was about him killing Nimai and how VAANI was supposed to bring him down now Dev... Dev was a comic relief who was blown out of proportion... and that made the trp sink even more because I for one stopped voting on the chaska meter... the only day I voted was when Samar stole the show! Dev can be interesting... like Sayali, Rajju and Sammy but he's not because he been turned into this ott character!

That was my rant about this show... and I guess I'm happy that it is ending because Deepak, Yashwant and Sonali aren't even being given the importance that AB is... it doesn't make any sense!
