I happen to watchthis yesterday night. It seems this is based on the true story of Chandigarh girl- Ruchika who was molested by the Inspector Rathore and her family suffered , Ruchika committed suicide. It was only her friend who kept on fighting for Ruchika and finally the judgement was delivered against Rathore after twenty years.

yes indeed, Ruchika's friend and her family kept on fighting Ruchika's case. Also, the friend got married and moved to Australia and still she pursued this case and it was the persistence of this family that Ruchika got justice. Ruchika was thrown out of school as Rathor's daughter was inthe same school as Ruchika and had to face embarrassment because of her father being balmed by Ruchika. The school management also had to come up to the court to show the paerwork to prove that it was non payment of the school fees by Ruchika that ws the reason that she was thrown out, which the school could not prove.

very few people inthe world are true firiends as Ruchika had.

yes u r absolutely rght,,its based on ruchika case,,i came across dis article,,

Swati Kapoor bags a pivotal role in real life story based show to be made by Fox TV…

A newspaper recently reported about Fox TV making the show on Ruchika Girhotra case. Tellybuzz brings more inside stuff on it.

According to our source, "The show is expected to launch on Star Plus and Swati Kapoor who was last seen in Hum Dono Hai Alag Alag as the sister of male lead, will be playing an important role in it."

Adds the source, "Other than Swati the key role will be played by Ashutosh Rana. He will be playing the main accused DGP Rathore. Arif Zakaria will enact the character of Ruchika's father."

Fourteen-year-old Ruchika Girhotra was molested in 1990 by Shambhu Pratap Singh Rathore in Haryana. After lodging an official complaint her family members were harassed by the system that eventually led Ruchika to commit suicide.

We contacted Arif Zakaria who confirmed the news saying, "Yes, I am playing a part in the show. It's a realistic story and I am playing the father who copes up with the trauma and fights against the person who has the whole system behind him."

We also contacted Swati Kapoor but she refused to comment anything for now.
