Yes, Childhood friendship revelation must have happened. There was a pic of yug na in that marshy muddy place. Maybe he realised kaali also likes him and is not telling it because of Gauri.

I think purohit only heard that kaali is going somewhere and won't be in the house to spoil their plan. I don't think he heard anything of yug.
