Both actors portray there characters really well. Personally I couldn't imagine Apu playing a Punjabi boy or Sur being a London girl. The new pair have hit it off well. Granted, there acting may not match the standards of Apu and Sur in some places but don't forget they were experienced actors. Especially Apu.These guys are newcomers and I think they're doing good so far.

I think it might be difficult for fans to adjust to them because they are so used to seeing Apu and Sur as Dev and Kaajjal.

...and yes they are cute, especially Devinder phaaji... 😉 ...hehe...

Let me tell if you even if Apu was given a "beggar's role" he would have done that with equal flair. He was equally good as a guide Raju Rangeela. Same with Surveen, she would have played the London bred Indian at heart girl with equal intensity, she would not have come out as a delicate darling! Granted the new couple are cute. However, if the role is of a reincarnated person, they need to exhibit some traits of their previous birth ! And for a reincarnation story you need people with real intensity to carry out that aura, that mystery of a previous birth. ! No offence, I was just replying to your views on Apu-Sur not being able to play a punjabi boy and London girl ! I have nothing against the new kids. They are cute and sweet ! However, got to look beyond these for the story to progress !

Hopefully I'll phrase it better this time. I wasn't questioning Apu or Sur's credibility in playing those roles, what I meant was that now I wouldn't be able to visualise Apu and Sur as the new Dev and Kajjal.

As for the reincarnation, the personality of the new Dev is almost an exact replica of the character played by Apu. There's bound to be a little difference because different actors have a different take on their role and that reflects in the way they perform, but the connection between the two is evident. It's the same with the new Kaajjal, except it's made a bit more obvious with her.

Hey Shazzi, I am sorry if I have hurt, that is definitely not my intention.

We have nothing about the new guy, but we are finding it difficult to connect Devinder to his previous birth because he does not have even one bit of any trait of Dev Pratap Singh and mind you we are not talking about the two actors playing their roles. The fault is of the makers because they have badly sketched out Devinder's character. Only bec his name is Devinder and he insists on being called Dev and he plays that supposedly signature DK tune (which is again not their original signature tune), we have no choice but led to believe he is the reborn DPS.

😃 You know I really don't want to intrude in this thread, but since you've asked me a question, all I can say is acc. to me it was more of a brief pretence temper or you could say a childish banter where he just had to get into an argument with Katie, just to show a fight between them ! And the reason of his argument with her also was so silly, just because she would call him by his real name Devinder and he wanted her to call him Dev. Even his chacha calls him Devinder, but he didn't pull his chacha against the wall and force him to call him Dev, for that 😆😆

Did you watch the episode when he absolutely angry when Kaajjal reminds him its the 23rd of Nov..They were quite a few people that day in the line of fire!! 😆

new dev and kaajal r realli cute.....especially dev (kinshuk). They r gud actors too.

i agree wiith you, this is a great post & only should be for appreciaters, i personally think that these two new actors are wonderful, and slowly they willl find a a spot for us in our hearts, for me I am already in love with the new Dev (kinshuk) and the new kaajal is new but very cute and i think shes doing a great job,
dunt forget how hard it must be for them both, living up to Apu & surveens great heights. but i think they are doing a great job! 😳 👏
