Kishmish to Devu

to all,

I had a few thoughts lurking in the back of my mind. Time to let them out! I am no poetess, so bear with me please.

PART A:

khuli aankhon se maine ek sapna dekha,
jindagi ko sajaya, sawaara, motiyon sa piroya,
phir ek din aisa aaya,
sapne ko hakeeqat mein badalne ka pal aaya,
par ummed tooti, aankhon se aanshu tapke,
kabhi haalaton ko kosha, toh kuch kismet ko royi,
sapna toh ek baar toota, par dil baar baar toota!

PART B:

phir andhkaar mein umeed ki ek kiran jaagi,
phir himmat bandhi, aaansooo ponche,
phir maine apne dil ko khudi marham lagaya,
Kudhi ko samjaya,
na sapna toota, na dil ... bas kuchi door hain manjil!
Only a dream post-phoned! (grrr, can't think of the words in hindi. )

Okay, tell me it is not half as bad as I think it is...... there is no rhyming-shyming.😆 And definitely, could have written some phrases better in English. 😆

And if you don't know hindi, well ... sorry, might provide translation later. :)

PS. forgot to add..... for dear kishmish...gurdas maan's song ... 'tu vi rehgayi adhoori, main bhi rehgaya adhoora; teri hor majboori...meri hor majboori... rona lekha vich reh gaya, lakeer banke... ki khatiyan ni main teri heer banke?😳

Persy, in the olden days such soulful poets used to take titles (eg. if a poet called Khwaja Mir wrote sad soulful verses he used to be called "Khwaja Mir Dard").

So hereafter I (and I am sure all the members of the forum) may like to give you the titlew of "Persy Ummeed Bhari" ...

... any other better title ideas, folks?

lol, I do speak from personal experience. 😳 ... actually, was writing for myself, but fits kish to the T, too... so thought I share. 😃

I am flattered. 😳 😳 ... No need for a title ji, probably the last time I write something like this... thank god, dil baar baar nahin toota, and umeed ka daman nahin choot ta. 😊
