Jyoti Written Update ' Oct 19^th, '10

Pankaj tells the good news to CM that Jyoti has agreed to leave Kabir and marry him. She is confused how Jyoti agreed so easily, but is glad to see Pankaj happy after so long. Later he calls Jyoti to confirm that they are getting married tomorrow at the temple. When she confirms, he records her words in his cell and smiles viciously😈.

At the Sisodiya house, Kabir and the rest try to convince Asha not to leave, but in vain. Asha goes to the temple and prays to God for Sumer's well being. There at home, Jyoti is praying to somehow reform Sumer reform into a better person.

Sumer is out drunk with his friends. After they leave, he is returning home, when he is attacked by some thieves (and the attack conveniently is taking place near the temple where Asha is). She hears the commotion and comes out. Alarmed at seeing Sumer being attacked, she takes the Goddess's trishul and heads to fight off the bad guys and save Sumer. (In true filmy style') she knocks them all down and saves her husband.

She then takes an unconscious Sumer to the hospital in a wheel-barrow-like push-cart' (This scene, in fact the entire episode, was so over-dramatized and cliched). The whole family arrive there soon after. The doc tends to Sumer and then tells the family that his condition is critical. Asha rushes to his side.

Next morning, Sumer wakes up and is much better. The doc tells him how Asha attended to him all night despite her injuries and his life has been saved only cuz of her. Sumer (in his visibly reformed state') looks at Asha with gratitude (jyoti's prayers have been answered so soon!!!). Jyoti tells Sumer how Asha knows everything he did to change the reports, but chose to remain quiet only to save him from embarrassment. Sumer is stunned hearing that and folds his hands seeking forgiveness from Asha (and this is all it took to change Sumer??!!!🤔 Looks like the creatives are trying to wrap up loose ends and doing it in an unreal way... Just hope they wrap up the Pankaj matter and kill him off by the end of this week. I can't stand him!!!)

Yeah, this episode supposedly reforming Sumer was too surreal. What struck me more was Asha surpassing herself in being a doormat - the same woman who shakes everytime Sumer looks @ her was today a fiery Durga-like figure, w/ the Trishul. (Actually, using Durga devi's trishul to save a loser like Sumer is pretty sacrilegious to me - Asha acted as though Sumer was someone like Ram-ji, or Mahadev) Oh, & when Sumer confronts them w/ his gun, it's knocked off his hand, but when Asha fights them w/ the trishul, she just knocks off everything. (Usually, these trishuls are not real, and would break if actually used as the gods used their originals) Equally cliched - the final clip of Sumer folding his hands to Asha on a split screen, and a Ravan burning for Dusshera.

As I noted in the other thread, I think Jyoti is cooked vis a vis Pankaj. He's recorded her saying that she'll marry him, and she's hidden this from Kabir, and so if he does not believe her, she'll have only herself to blame. What's worse - unlike in the case of her hiding Sushma & Brij from Pankaj, here there was no reason to hide anything from Kabir: she could have told him that her daughter was alive, and this is what Pankaj was demanding. Only thing - Sumer won't be an enemy of Jyoti if things turn ugly for her.

There are other things yet to be covered - RP's secret and how CS blackmails him so successfully, Vishmi's relationship, so they would have to wind those up. Today's Sumer reform was as ridiculous as Brij's reform months ago, and if Vikrant reforms vis a vis Reshmi the same way, it would look beyond ridiculous (given that he refuses to treat his baby as his). What would be interesting would be Jyoti's reaction once RP is exposed, assuming she's still a part of that family, which I'm no longer assuming given her own bungling.

Whatever it is Jyoti is so boring these days and we appreciated Jyoti show because it was real in terms of problems and execution , Now it is same as other shows , Asha becoming Devi Durga , Then Jyoti in temple for questioning God , So sick , Rakhtya Sambandh is the best show on Imagine . Much better than this crap.
