Jyoti is shocked to hear that it's her marriage that their guests have come to talk to them about, so after offering them the drinks, she leaves and goes into her own room. Padma, Dadi and Poonam are privately arguing about who should convince her, and then they notice Kabir there and send him to convince her. Kabir tries convincing Jyoti, telling her that just b'cos one marriage has failed doesn't mean that they all will, and that she should give it another try. Jyoti refuses and asks him to let her at least determine her own future.
Then Padma comes in, and after leaving her w/ a guilt complex about marrying on her own, and today paying for it, she tries to convince her about the difficulties of being a single parent and how all parents want their daughters to settle down in their own homes. Jyoti asks her whether she thinks that this is not her family, and that b'cos she'll get no support from here, she needs to marry? She dares Padma to tell her bluntly that she's a burden. Padma is put on the defensive and denies it. She tells her that she & KK won't be around forever, and when Deepu has his own family, he won't be able to manage hers (thereby giving her Poonam's arguments w/o saying that they are from Poonam). She therefore urges her to at least consider a new family, so that her kid gets the family name. Jyoti tells her that she's proved that a daughter is an outsider. She however will not entrust her future, and that of her kid, to anyone else. She however offers to leave that house. Padma responds w/ a round of emotional blackmail.
KK & Dadi then join her, and KK tells her that it does take time to get used to changes in life. He reminds her that when she first proposed accepting Brij back, nobody was prepared to listen, but she was convinced that if Sushma returned to Brij, she'd be happy again, and that's what happened. He too thinks that if she forgets her past and starts a new future, she too will be happy. He tells her that she doesn't lose anything by meeting him, and assures her that no decision will be taken that goes against her wishes.
KK then tells Mr Tripathi that he'd like Jyoti to be able to meet his son, and then let her decide. Mr Tripathi agrees, saying his son is in Udaipur on some business, and calls him to come there so that he can meet Jyoti. Padma informs Sushma of this as well.
Kabir had been there for all the conversations, and is tense @ this prospect, although he's determined to himself that he'll accept whatever decision Jyoti takes for herself.
Dadi decks up Jyoti, and takes her out, ready to meet the prospective groom. The episode ends w/ the groom arriving, and Jyoti, Padma and others all shocked to see him (the groom is not shown)
I wonder who is this guy who seemed to shock Jyoti, Padma? Can't be Pankaj, since he's not a son of the Tripathis. Can't be Brij, since they showed him w/ Sushma. So who else? Amit? But I thought Amit stays in Udaipur, not visits it for work reasons.
Hopefully, Monday, Jyoti turns down this guy, and says yes to Kabir, and asks him to tell her parents what he's asked her. Poonam & Padma will get their desire to be rid of Jyoti, Kabir will get Jyoti and she'll no longer be under pressure, and she can finally tell Pankaj that she's re-married, and he has no right to contact her going forward for any reason whatsoever.
