Part 1

The scene picks up where it previously left off, w/ Brij returning Pankaj's chain, and Pankaj thanking him and introducing himself. Pankaj asks him who he is, wishing to know the name of his 'benefactor'. Brij smiles wryly and instantly disappears, and Pankaj calls out to him, but Brij is gone. Pankaj is disappointed, but then thinks that he's heard that voice somewhere in the past (he did - the night Jyoti disrupted Sushma's restaurant dance and Brij bumped into Pankaj outside while he was waiting for her)

Brij then re-connects w/ the thug that he hired, and scolds him for hitting Brij so hard 😆😆😆 - the thug tells him it was an accident. The thug tells Brij that he thought that being blind, Pankaj would be unable to defend himself, but to retain his wife's chain, he was willing to stake his life. He tells him that he's lucky he's safe - had it happened in public, he'd have ended up in jail. The thug then decides that today onwards, he's not taking any more risks. Brij gets up and notes that Jyoti may have landed him several body blows, but he'd repay her for each one of them.

Back at home, after hearing this account from Pankaj, CM is shocked that he was assaulted in broad daylight and that nobody caught the assailant, and Sudha asks him how did this happen? Pankaj tells them not to worry, that he wasn't hurt, but the person who saved him was probably wounded more. CM asks who it was, and Pankaj tells her that he left w/o introducing himself. CM tells him to come, and she'd apply the ointment. Pankaj assures her that he's fine, and not to worry. He'd refresh himself, apply some antiseptic, and asks CM to relax, and he then leaves.

CM turns to Sudha, and points out that while her hubby has been wounded, Jyoti is out crusading against social ills. Is this what's called a marriage? At this time, Jyoti should have been @ home
(So, had Jyoti been out shopping for the next family function while all this happened, she'd still have been guilty of letting down her marriage?) Doesn't she have any responsibilities towards this house? Granted that Pankaj doesn't tell her anything, but wouldn't he at least wish that when he returns from college, that she at least offer him a cup of coffee? But no, Jyoti is above all this. She's only good for social work. CM then walks away disgusted and Sudha looks worried/upset.

That night, Jyoti returns and sits, and Sudha joins her. Jyoti tells her that she's filed a complaint w/ the domestic violence cell. Now the cops are after him: he can do nothing to Sushma. Sudha says it's all well and good, but... and Jyoti asks her why she's so worried. Sudha tells her to go to Pankaj - he's been injured, and Jyoti is shocked and asks how. Sudha tells her that some assailant threatened him w/ a knife and tried to mug him. Sudha tells Jyoti not to worry, that he's fine, but at this moment, Jyoti ought to be w/ him. Jyoti leaves.

In Pankaj's room, Jyoti apologizes to him, but he tells her that it was an accident, so why is she apologizing? Jyoti says that had she been home, she could have... She wonders why, whenever she tries to do good work, something untoward happens. Pankaj reassures her that she's done nothing wrong
(try telling CM that) and that not all things are in their control, and it was God's grace and his good fortune that that person arrived just in time to save him. Jyoti offers to go to his place tomorrow to thank him. Pankaj tells her that that wont be possible, given that he disappeared w/o introducing himself or leaving anything. However he did sound a bit familiar - probably Pankaj had met him somewhere before. Jyoti wonders who could it be, and Pankaj says that he too thought about it long and hard, but couldn't remember. If he were to hear him again, even in a crowd, he'd definitely ID him. Jyoti asks him that if he ever met him again, please bring him home. He's made her indebted to him by protecting her suhag.

In the living room, the phone rings and Jyoti answers it. It's Brij. Jyoti looks terrified. Brij tells her that he tried to convince her several times, but she didn't listen to him. She's cast her move, and filed a complaint w/ the police. She has therefore forced his hand, and that he'd be forced to destroy her. She'd lose so much that she'd not have tears to cry over it. The circus is just about to begin, and he plans to enjoy it.
(All this while, Jyoti is shocked at his bravado) Brij tells her to just wait a bit more - and hangs up the phone. Jyoti is extremely worried.

She sees Sudha thru the kitchen window w/ Longshree & fakes a smile, and Sudha assumes it's for real. Jyoti turns away, worried by the implications of what Brij said.

Part 2

At Udaipur College, where Pankaj teaches, one of his students is telling Brij how he admires his singing, and would like to learn to sing like him. Two other students offer to introduce him to their head (Wonder whether this too was a setup by Brij? Not clear) The students take Brij to Pankaj, and tell him that finally they have a good news - they have the music teacher they needed for the Annuality (?) function. Pankaj is happy, and his students go on to tell him of how they've heard Brij perform, and how he's a magician on a guitar. Pankaj tells them that since they've praised him, no interview is needed: all that's needed is to know what his fees are, since the Annuality funds are really low. Brij comes up and tells him that no price tag can be put on learning (impressive for a guy who pimped his wife) and as long as the enthusiasm to learn is there among the students, there cannot be a greater fee for the teacher. Pankaj on hearing him identifies him as the person who saved him, and tells him that once he hears a voice, he doesn't forget it. Brij admits that it's him. Pankaj says that he may have left unannounced yesterday, but today, he'd have to say who he is. Brij goes ahead and introduces himself - Brij. Pankaj tells him that the name sounds familiar. Brij tells him that he must have heard it - it's a pretty common name. Actually, he's not from here, but Banswara, and he's come to Udaipur for some interviews. Pankaj tells him that it wont be necessary, and that the students would learn music quite well from a teacher like him. He then sends the students to arrange the music room.

Pankaj then continues to tell Brij that yesterday, he didn't give him the proper opportunity to thank him. When he mentioned him to his wife, she scolded him (presumably for not finding out more about him) but today, he'd not let him go, and that Brij has to join them for dinner. Brij smiles, and Pankaj tells him that his wife would be very happy to meet him (if only Pankaj knew!) and Brij returns the compliment, saying that he too would be very happy to meet his wife. He then thinks to himself to Pankaj that he has no idea how long he's been waiting for this opportunity, and Jyoti should prepare to welcome him. Brij then asks Pankaj why tonight - let's do it some other time? Pankaj disagrees, saying what's there to say what'll happen in future? Pankaj also tells him that if he tells Jyoti that he met him w/o bringing him home, he'll be scolded again, and he doesn't want to be scolded twice. (Why is Pankaj painting Jyoti in such an unfavorable light?) Pankaj tells Brij that he has no idea what he gave her by saving her suhag. Brij smiles, and tells Pankaj that he's making little people seem great, and now he cannot refuse. Pankaj tells him that he'll call Jyoti and let her know right now.

Pankaj calls Jyoti on the phone and tells her that he's standing w/ the person who saved him yesterday. He's coming for dinner tonight. Jyoti thanks him for inviting him (Pankaj does not mention Brij's name) She tells Pankaj to tell him that today, she'll personally prepare the food. He wont forget this evening (but for different reasons, and neither will she) Pankaj tells Brij that his wife says that he wont forget this evening, and Brij tells him that he too has the same instincts. Jyoti asks Pankaj to find out whether his friend has any special preferences, and Brij, on getting the message, asks him what is the necessity of all this. Pankaj remarks that he must not be married 😆😆😆 or he wouldn't have asked such a question. He offers Brij a tip - don't ask too many questions of your wife. He asks him what is his favorite, and Brij tells him that when he was at Udaipur years ago, he liked loki ke kofta and methi paratha. Pankaj relays that message to Jyoti, and her facial expression changes for the worse. Jyoti repeats it very slowly (is that enough to tell her that it's Brij?), and Pankaj asks her whether she doesn't know how to make it? Brij grins. Jyoti recovers and tells him that she'd prepare it, and that his friend wont forget the flavor. She then tells him that she'll start preparing dinner, and puts down the phone.

Brij asks Pankaj why he's suddenly so silent, and Pankaj tells him that it's w/ a lot of difficulty that one lands a life partner who'd selflessly love him. He doesn't know whether Brij has anyone in his life or not, but since Jyoti entered his life, it's complete. Pankaj then apologizes for being distracted into just praising his wife, and tells him that he can't live w/o her. Brij then thinks to himself that he's come to do something that after he knew it, he'd neither be able to live nor die.

Part 3

At the Sharma household, the door knocks, and Sushma opens it. An officer has arrived, and asks for Sushma Sharma, and Sushma introduces herself. They say that they've come from the police station, and confirm that she had filed a complaint against her husband. Deepu also comes up and Sushma tells him that it's re: Brij. The officer tells her that from today, 2 plainclothes policemen will be stationed at the house, and if they see him there or learn about his whereabouts, to let them know so that he can be arrested immediately. There is no reason to worry - they have the full support of the police. Deepu is very happy and thanks him, and Sushma nods.

That night, at the Vashisth mansion, the phone rings, and Jyoti receives it, thinking that it must be Pankaj's. She says Hi Pankaj-ji, and Brij responds Hi Jyoti, instantly wiping out her smile. Brij asks her what happened, and greeted by her outraged silence, tells her that she must be lost in their old memories. Jyoti asks him why did he call. Brij tells her that it's a good question, and it's because he never undertakes a major task without first telling anyone, and nobody knows this better than her. Jyoti asks him his intentions, and he tells her to never mind that, and to prepare for a surprise. Jyoti tells him that she has neither the time nor taste for his drivel. She warns him to watch his back if he calls again. Brij laughs to himself. Jyoti slams the phone, and recalls her confrontations with him, like the one yesterday w/ Sushma, and then the conversation just now, and the episode ends w/ a worried look on her face.

Precap

Brij & Pankaj are sitting on the sofa, and Jyoti arrives in the room to greet them. Jyoti smiles as she sees Pankaj, and he tells Brij to meet his wife Jyoti. He then tells Jyoti that this is his friend Brij Mohan. The expression on Jyoti's face completely changes, and Brij looks at her, and blows her an obscene kiss. Jyoti looks at him in shock.

Comments

Finally, Jyoti's moment of truth seems to be nearing. If she knew that the police are there @ the Sharma home, how would she tell them that Brij is her guest? It was also unclear from the episode whether Jyoti guessed from the food requested that it was Brij, or else, the precap wouldn't have shown what it did.

On CM's outburst today, it was like her outburst @ Jyoti during the hadsa. Somehow, Jyoti is expected to be home every time Pankaj returns? If that's the case, why not make her just return w/ him? While in this case Jyoti was inconveniently out on social work (and even had CM known, it wouldn't have helped, since Jyoti serving her maakya wasn't looked @ favorably), Jyoti could have been out even w/ CM @ one of her parties, and still this could have happened to Pankaj. I hope Sudha takes the lesson from this, and distances herself from her maakya as much as possible. Incidentally, where is Uday? How come Sudha is there for Jyoti & CM, but not w/ Uday? I want to see more Suday moments as well, and focusing on them, not Jyoti's predicament.

alot of people are losing interest now
here they are showing this guy brij is getting away with all is evil scheming and ploting and its just too much
and they really need to improve on Jyoti's character
i think cm was right today, jyoti is never tere for her husband or the family she's always out doing something else and ten she comes home and "apologises"
its all getting a little too booooooring

Once the Brij track is over, there is nothing to show - if it's a mundane Sandeep getting married, or Jyoti & Sudha having kids, there wont be much of a viewership. I think the show will end w/ either Brij successfully getting Jyoti removed from the Vashishth family for good, or in the end, Brij getting jailed/killed and Jyoti reconciling w/ Pankaj.

On CM's accusation of Jyoti not being there for her family, would she have said the same thing had Pankaj been mugged while Jyoti was out w/ CM on one of her bashes? Here, Jyoti happened to be out trying to get a report filed for Sushma, who as far as CM knows, is a stranger, but Jyoti could have been out on Vashisth family business too. What would CM have said then? But given Jyoti's conversation Tuesday w/ Sudha, where she tells her that marriage simply means piling on the responsibilities, and her refusing to hand that over to Deepu, CM is right that Jyoti doesn't belong in a marriage.

I have another question. In the episode above, when Sudha saw Pankaj returning, she addressed him as Jijajee. That would mean sister's hubby, right, which is what Sandeep also addresses him & Uday. But now, Pankaj's relationship to her is changed - he's now primarily her hubby's bro (which would trump being her sister's hubby), so wouldn't she have to address him differently? That's one thing that struck me about the conversation in part 1.
