I threw open a new poll asking whether one is happy @ Minal's humiliation, given how cocky she has been lately.

But another thing struck me from watching last night's episode - her FIL telling her not to come home. Doesn't Sumant have a say in this? I mean, if my dad were to tell my wife that she couldn't come home, I'd leave w/ her. In the past, Minal used to boast that she couldn't be @ her maakya longer b'cos Sumant wouldn't let her: now we are to believe, assuming that Minal wasn't exaggerating, that Sumant would just allow his wife to be disowned just like that, and not take her, say, into a new home of his own, the way Uday was prepared to w/ Sudha?

This storyline just defies believability.

I don't know about Sumant, but her FIL's decision was so stupid

But yes, I'm sure he would object somehow, but he seems to be the type that runs his dad's buisness and to leave with Meenal would mean to leave the comfort of his father's home and his huge inheritance, which I don't think he would do

This is another distinction that will be obvious between Sudha and Meenal. Sudha's husband loves her so much that he couldn't bare her insult and walked out onhis family to live with a more poor family

Suman will probably leave Meenal there till things settle down
