I've been checking out the NDTV home page of Jyoti, and today, as far as the title went, 'Jyoti' got replaced by 'LIC presents Jyoti'! What's w/ that? I know that all shows have their sponsors, but this is the first time I'm seeing the name of a sponsor making itself into the title of the show. Also, when they run the footer banner silent promos of the show during the other shows, Jyoti's face has disappeared from those, and what one sees instead is the LIC logo.
How is Imagine itself looking at this? Does it see it as a struggling show, and is willing to give sponsors anything for it to stay on air? How much of time does this show have left? One would think plenty, since there would be Sushma's rehabilitation, presumably weddings of Sudha and Sandeep, and then the final expulsion of Jyoti from the house (is that still the plot?) But if the show is struggling, they should be speeding up things, shouldn't they?
Or is this just the name for tonight's special spousal abuse edition?
