Written Update: June 23rd (Complete)

KK asks Jyoti for forgiveness for coming uninvited says he couldnt help himself when he heard of her wedding as if has always been his dream to see her as a bride and now his wife has been fulfilled. The pandit says it is time for the kanyadaan and pankaj's dad says that since KK is here he will do it but KK says no as no one can give away their heart and he says that jyoti is his pride and not a burden. He says jyoti took on all the burdens of their family and no father including himself can do her kanyadaan. He tells pankaj that he hopes he understands and pankaj says that hearing that has made him proud of joining their family. KK says he is glad to hear this and is glad jyoti has chosen well but he then says that he has some questions relating to her future. Everyone looks shocked and worried. Pankaj tells him to ask as it is his right. KK says he doesnt really have a question but he wants a promise to take care of jyoti and to make her happy. Everyone is relieved. Pankaj says he is selfish in this regard because his own happiness is very dear to him and his happiness comes from jyoti's happiness. Jyoti is stunned. Everyone smiles and Pankaj says he hopes that KK got his answer. KK looks at Dadi and then holds his hands up like he is blessing him. The pandit says the time for the kanyadaan is passing by but Pankaj's dad says that there will be no kanyadaan. The pandit says he understands but there has never been a marraige like that before. Pankaj's dad says they are going to start a new tradition then. Kamal fold his hands towards him. Pankaj's dad says not to worry as he will not do anything against what is right as he is religious himself. He says he understood what KK said as they should be proud of their daughters and promises that thier in family there will no longer be kanyadaans done. Everyone looks happy except for Choti Ma.

Pankaj's dad asks the pandit how the weddig can happy without a kanydaan and he says that it can happen if the father puts the girls hand in the grooms and gives over his reponsibilities. Everyone looks happy. KK tells Pankaj's dad that by seeing this he know his he putting his daughters hand into a trustworthy man's hand. Sandeep looks worried. KK takes jyoti hand and uday holds pankaj's hand forward for KK to take. He does but sandeep puts a hand on his shoulder to stop him. He whispers into KK's ear that pankaj cant see and KK lets go of his hand and stares at him in shock. Pankaj looks worried along with everyone else as he pulls his hand back. He looks at jyoti and then asks if he can talk to he alone and hopes no one will disapprove as there are two lives on the line. Pankaj's dad tells her to go.

Jyoti's family is alone with her on the side as the pankaj's family paces on the other. KK asks jyoti what she is doing and she says she doesnt understand what he means. Everyone looks shocked. He says he understand what they have done is wrong but asks why she is punishing herself by marrying someone who cant see. She stares and then asks why a person who is blind doesnt have the right to be happy and get married. KK says they do but asks what about her happiness. She asks why everyone is worried about her happiness all of a sudden. She says when she lived with them no one worried about her happiness then. KK tries to apologize but she interuppts and says pankaj is waiting for her. She also tells him not to worry as she is not giving herself any punishment and isnt being forced. She said she is happy and she chose pankaj. She walks out towards the groom's family.

Dadi stops her by asking what is the future of this marriage but jyoti says no one can change the past or see the future and her fate is set. She says the body doesnt matter when the heart is good and no one should understand that better than KK. KK says what happened to him was an accident and he had bad fate but she is deciding her own future and she should think about it once more. She smiles and says she has no complaints about her fate and knows what she is doing here. She says padma ma didnt know what was going to happen to KK after they got married and considered her fate. She tells them to pretend that she is marrying someone fit but if something happens in the future would she leave that person. No and so she is happy with what fate has given her. She turns to leave but Sudha stops her by calling out Didi. She runs out and puts her hand around jyoti's shoulder and leads her out. Dadi says jyoti is right and is saw what the elders couldnt see. KK says he is proud of his daughter and her decision. Sandeep just stares and then smiles.

The girls bring jyoti to the mandap and uday brings pankaj asking him to be careful. Jyoti stops him from walking forward by putting her hand in front of him and then takes his hand in her own making everyone smile. KK rolls in with Dadi and Deepu. Jyoti and Pankaj step up hand in hand and after positioning pankaj the right way, jyoti and him sit. Pankaj's dad walks to KK and says there is one rasam left and to wati. He takes pink turbans from pankaj's brother and puts one on KK and then one on deepu saying it is also hsis right. Deepu looks like he is about to cry and jyoti smiles along with everyone.
